It's great that the most powerful people in the world have the mindset of a goldfish

This is the shit that leaks out from the ruling class and poisons us with hustlegrind culture and throwaway consumor mindsets

It's all designed to keep us from stopping, thinking and learning because you can't improve without introspecting

These fuckers never had to learn and grow from their mistakes and triumphs because they have none. They don't have to think, all they have to do is constantly move on the the next patch of resources to consume until there is nothing left. That is why they don't value introspection, because they've never had to face the consequences of their actions

I doubt they'd even introspect on their actions on the day they run out of people and resources to exploit

Sharks are winners because they don’t look back because they don’t have necks. necks are for sheep. A sage quote from 80’s business man in futurama

Don't sharks die if they stop moving? That's a winner mindset

I for one approve of billionaires spouting the most baby-brained drivel you've ever heard. It helps demystify them.

You'd think they would learn from Elon to keep their mouths shut, but of course they themselves could never be that dumb. Their own ideas are nuggets of gold in a sea of shit, because money makes right!

Anyone that has ever listened to a Billionaire talk about themselves for more than 5 minutes knows they all think like this.

Hell, just watch Epstein's last interview with Steve Bannon and he basically talks just like this turd.

Yup. Every time I hear one of these guys talk it's like listening to someone who has the brain of a kid that would pull spider legs for fun

As Peter Watts said, the corporate elite are not sentient because being sentient means you could potentially empathise with the people you exploit - the people that rise to the top are a chinese room of a person.

not for nothing, he's telling on himself in ways he can't comprehend. he possesses no internal satisfaction or self-gratification and is almost exclusively conflating "introspection" with "shame," which is understandable given his unfathomable wealth: he should be ashamed of it. keep chasing that tiger, marc!

Caveman 12,000 years ago vibing on shrooms able to examine his ego from an outside perspective and understand the oneness of existence 'this rocks, I hope that new fangled agriculture doesn't stratify our primitive communist society into haves and have-nots'

I can't believe there are people who think these people are intelligent just because they amass capital.

Bernstein: Thatcher! That man was the biggest darn fool I ever met -

Thompson: He made an awful lot of money.

Bernstein: It's not trick to make an awful lot of money if all you want is to make a lot of money.

Oh he definitely knows, which is why it is on his own interest to never think about stuff.

P-zombies exhibit behavior completely consistent with being capable of introspection (which is part of why the idea is silly question-begging).

I maintain that we are in a society architected and run by extremists.

[–] SevenSkalls@hexbear.net 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

That makes you an extremist for thinking that. How dare you for making this political! This is obviously the best system and there is no feasible one that can be made better than this.

Now I'm off to make my next billion without worrying about who I hurt along the way. Hustle and grind.

How dare you suggest try to introspect me from the outside. I am classless and categorically indefinable.

Cosmologically speaking yes, and it's what separates us from fucking plants and bacteria! I bet long pig might be in the cards shortly.
