I've been workshopping a theory that a corollary to "Nothing Ever Happens" (NEH) is "It Just Does That" (IJDT) and it resolves a lot of the problems that NEH has encountered recently. Like a LOT of the objections to NEH are adequately explained by IJDT while NEH continues to pertain.
Hypothesis: IJDT is an effective negation to every NEH "chuds owned" claim
I'm not really ready to publish and sadly I don't know that I'll find funding for this research so fuck it.
(for the non philosophers at home, its a shame that this research is going to die on the vine because the implications are quite astonishing: nothing is happening. Just. Remember this is all untested theory so far. one billion dollars to quantum computing but no money to meme philosophy. utter joke of a country. edit dont link me that one guys patreon to own me I'm not owned)

it just did that because it just does that, doing that is in its nature and there is an aspect in which it is always doing that, or to put it another way "that happens all the time" on a long enough timeline. If we weren't playing super marios within the atmosphere of the earth you wouldn't even need to take the sample over a long period of time because you'd see that it happens all the time.
(things that happen all the time are not happenings they are the status quo)
