The greatest contradiction in the world today, is imperialism / the low-wage trap / inequality between rich and poor countries. How to defeat it is the most important question of our times, and the PRC found the solution, put it in place, and are now seeing its fruits.

"The bargain" as its called (accepting limited forms of low wage labour / exploitation and foreign owned development in exchange for access to technology and expertise) is really a brilliant strategy. In a sense its exploiting the west's greed, and what it always had done: exploit cheap labour, and willingness to export production for a quick buck, to their own downfall.

That strategy is even still working for the global north everywhere but the PRC and Vietnam. But when its done to a country with a planned economy, which can do long-term plans using this imported tech, it can effectively out-organize private capitalist production. Its fatal for capitalism in the long term. Deng's quote is on point here:

We really should consider Deng the 5th head of Marxism for employing this gambit and saving the world from US domination.

I don't know if it was a serious question but as someone who was afraid of China up till a bit ago. It's mostly western trama at the hands of our government with a mix of propaganda. Its hard to know better when you literally can't get your hands on facts. The most I knew was China was doing amazing work with environmental areas.

It also helped I didn't want to be right about China being the new America. And honestly I feel foolish for some of my ignorance.

In fairness the 2000s made a lot of Billionaires think this. They were given cool perks, they could have shitty working practices, they could be let into the party, in much the same way a Venus flytrap lets a fly in...

Every capitalist thinks they are the worlds special boy

Honestly goes to show how the system the CCP set in place keeps billionaires stupid and pliable thinking they were western billionaires at which point you can rug pull them and send them off to jail/re-education/or the guillotine if they truly fucked up. It demonstrates that, with a proper state apparatus, that billionaires and millionaires are just a decorative golden goose that can easily be disposed of when they begin to think beyond their purpose as honeypots for western capital at the behest of the state.

That's an extremely reductionist perspective. The party doesn't exist anywhere else and billionaires exist out there, so clearly there are more causes than merely the party. The party choosing to create conditions that allow for billionaires and not choosing to abolish them when they arise are definitely party choices, but when you understand it that way it opens up the questions "Why did the party choose conditions under which billionaires can emerge? and "If the party abolished billionaires as they emerged, what would be the effects and how would they interact with the conditions of national liberation, self-determination, anti-imperialsm, and the development of productive forces necessary to resolve contemporary contradictions?"
