That's... That's more clearance than a lot of bridges have. More than enough for basically any bus including many if not most double deckers or standard size freight.

No idea where you're located, but in America there are a lot of right-wing religious wingnuts that enjoy street-corner preaching, as it were.
Most of this preaching involves carring signs with a fire-and-brimstone message and yelling about how the passers-by need to repent.
The most famous example would be the
Westboro Baptist Church (cw: slurs, homophobia, antisemitism, etc)
Anyway, it's common for audiences to troll these guys with gayness.
