Inclusion and respect aren't erasure, NANCY
News
Welcome to the News community!
Rules:
1. Be civil
Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.
2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.
Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.
3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.
Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.
4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.
Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.
5. Only recent news is allowed.
Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.
6. All posts must be news articles.
No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.
But cis lives matter /s
As a straight white cis-man, it feels good to finally be acknowledged
Yeah, usually white cis men don't really get any recognition, specially if they are old.
What, you want her to treat people like PEOPLE?!
"I don't like to punch down..." [does a suplex]
"Hello, Sergeant at Arms? I'd like to report a murder."
"The number you reached is out of service. Please try again at a later date."
I live in SC and it felt like every fifth YouTube ad was an attack on Nancy Mace accusing her of actually being a woke ally to "the transgenders". Even with her horrible about-face on the topic, I knew she didn't stand a chance in the primary.
When Red States Accidentally Do the Right Thing
Idk if kicking a TERF out of the party because your constituents are easily duped into believing she's a Trans-ally is the W folks are making it out to be.
This is more just the insanity of the GOP on display. It's the Shepherd's Tone of politics, where you win a primary by raising a bigger pot of money than your opponent to run "That one's a Woke Tranny!" ads in between every Shrimp Jesus post on Memaw's Facebook feed.

Gold.
On what planet is Nancy Made a TERF? She hates trans people but she isn't otherwise feminist
She regularly touts her history as one of the first women to graduate from The Citadel. And she campaigns as a Girl Boss personality. Much of her anti-Trans rhetoric involves accusing trans women of sexual assault and claiming they undermine women's organizations.
It's a very Republican brand of feminism.
It's the Republican primary vote, so I assume all her opponents are probably also awful. I'm actually not familiar with the two who are going to the runoff, but I am thrilled to see both Mace and Norman gave up their incumbency in the US House of Reps to run for governor and then immediately lose in the primary. I live in Ralph Norman's current district and I'll be so happy to see him out at the end of this term.

Oh absolutely. The ‘win’ is strictly for the schadenfreude.
but I am thrilled to see both Mace and Norman gave up their incumbency in the US House of Reps to run for governor and then immediately lose in the primary.
Oh yeah. That’s the stuff.
I live in his district too and I hope that rat fuck is gone forever. He’s a cockroach though, so we’ll see.
Go Dittmer!
I also live in SC and my 13 year old daughter told me she is having nightmares about Crazy Nancy Mace. No doubt from all the political ads she watches.
You really shouldn’t be exposing your kids to so much advertising. It fucks them up. Use uBlock Origin on the web.
Wasn't Mace the one who was just consistently nasty to anyone she met even in public? I seen to recall her throwing tantrums at her local airport, in at least one makeup store* in her district, shaking hands, wherever she went.
She's vicious not just to trans people, though that is certainly her favorite target, but anywhere there are people she deems her lessers, and she seems to go out of her way to start conflict wherever she can make a public show of it.
I mention it only because, while what she did to Sarah McBride was truly revolting and at or near the top of Mace's own personal list of despicable acts toward other human beings, there's actually going to be a long, long line of people enjoying the schadenfreude, bless her shriveled little heart.
*Shouldn't be mean to people when you desperately need their help, Nancy
There's always going to be people like her, glad to see she fucking lost this time. The weirdest part is, people like this are always around even in places where they have no reasonable excuse to act like it. Like, shut up Karen, you're not better than anyone, you live in a rural town of 500 people and live off your dead husband's pension.
She's also the one that was in a meeting and said she really didn't care the outcome, she just wanted to get outside to tell the press. I'm paraphrasing.
Yeah, no problem, there are just too many to remember. She is always stirring up shit for the press.
For myself I like to source my comments, and I even tried to look up the ones I remembered when I was writing my own comment and there are just too many. It is overwhelming.
I hear ya, brotha!
The only thing that ghouls like Nancy Mace believe in is power. This has got to sting.
Love that for her.
This has got to sting.
She got her hand in the till for a few years. And I'm sure she'll have ample opportunity to do her own brand of "How The Republican Party Went Woke And Betrayed Donald Trump" in another year or two, right alongside her friends MTG and George Santos.
The sting will fade. The grift will go on.
“I lived, bitch.”
"I'm still here, you shiteaters!"
I'm glad there are still some good news stories out there nowadays.
Maybe she'll fuck off into obscurity now 🤞
Evette is another MAGA whack job. The red states continue to vote for racist neo-Nazi trash.
I love a feel-good story.
Nancy Mace is still in congress though, right?
Not for long, apparently:
Jenny Honeycutt, a business owner, and Mark Smith, a state legislator, advanced in a crowded GOP primary to replace outgoing Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., on Tuesday evening.
. . . The vacancy arose when Mace, a firebrand conservative, announced her decision to run for governor of the Palmetto State.
She went big and is going home.
Until November. Technically January. But she's not going to be on the ballot in November due to this loss.
Fucking awesome.
