Of course, of course!

You are supporting the death of innocent people instead of alterior methods

Time to just wipe Russia off the map already, split the country up and give the land to the other surrounding nations.

Ah yes, your barbaric death of innocent people vs our glorious wiping a country off the map. I'm genuinely curious how often liberals think of shit like bombing the Three Gorges Dam and fantasizing about "wiping Russia off the map". It has to be once a day at least, right?!

Milo: I'd like, be on a plane or something, and a hot football player would sit down next to me, and it just like, took over my mind, completely took over my mind...

Tucker: Yea I can imagine...

Milo: and I'd have to go like, to the bathroom and you know...

Tucker: Yea, it's like a demon

Milo: That's exactly what it is, a demon

What a good bit.

Yea, this is pretty accurate. Younger people struggling to find jobs and due to cultural reasons they want to hide the fact that they're unemployed from their family or whomever. @xiaohongshu@hexbear.net and others have been saying the job market in China, especially for young people, is not doing the greatest right now. Vindicated once again!

I really wish there was something that met my standards and was free, but no dice yet doggirl-tears so for now, I reluctantly pay $10 to save me quite a bit of time, which I think is a fair trade at least personally. I've tried Duckduckgo and Startpage and they're okay and I happily recommend those to people, at least there isn't Google's LLM overview thing at the top of the page! Though I still find myself on the 3rd page looking for what I want quite frequently on Duckduckgo and Startpage both which happens very rarely on Kagi.

I'd highly recommend Kagi to anyone who is a power searcher. It's paid, about $10/month (in freedom bucks), which definitely makes it a first world luxury since they don't scale pricing based on region, but honestly, it's a life changer. The results are great and what I'm looking for is usually the first result. It's like what Google used to be like a decade or more ago. You can also modify your "algorithm" in your account settings to favor specific sites, or to lower the ranking of/completely block specific sites, it's really neat. SearxNG also has quite a few of these things, but I've still come to prefer Kagi even after running my own SearxNG instance for a few months. If you go to their site, you can do 50 free search queries without an account just to get a feel for it.

Probably also disabling Windows' virtualization-based security (VBS) which is known to have a pretty large performance impact, even on pretty modern & powerful hardware

Yep, I was recently over at a family member's place and they made something to eat and asked how it was, I told them that it was good but I would have made it slightly differently, and they were like "oh so you don't like it? we have other things" and I was just like sigh. I know they're just trying to be nice and all, but it gets really annoying when this type of thing happens with almost everything I say and I have to tell people, no, I mean exactly what I said, you don't need to try to decipher some hidden meaning! Another common one is someone will tell you they're going somewhere, but I've recently learned that it usually means they're going somewhere, but are also inviting you to go with them. Like, ugh. If you're inviting me, say something like "I'm going to the market, want to come with me?" It's not that hard! yells-at-cloud

Yea, Microsoft gives OEMs a fairly large discount on licenses, but this is capitalism after all, may as well charge the full $150 or whatever Windows costs these days! I'm surprised they even give you a discount for choosing Linux in the first place to be honest.

you can even buy Lenovo laptops with Linux preinstalled, at a reduced price for some reason

because they are not including the price of a Windows license, when you buy a laptop or prebuilt desktop, you are also paying for a Windows license as well essentially

Night Watch told 404 Media that it used this Lima to take down 19 Kinzhals in the past two weeks. First, it replaces the missile’s satellite navigation signals with the Ukrainian song “Our Father Is Bandera.”

Any digital noise or random signal would work to jam the navigation system, but Night Watch wanted to use the song because they think it’s funny. “We just send a song…we just make it into binary code, you know, like 010101, and just send it to the Russian navigation system,” Night Watch said. “It’s just kind of a joke. [Bandera] is a Ukrainian nationalist and Russia tries to use this person in their propaganda to say all Ukrainians are Nazis. They always try to scare the Russian people that Ukrainians are, culturally, all the same as Bandera.”

You see, we're not actually Nazis, it's just a funny joke! What's so bad about a silly song?!

If you're looking for an alternative to Adobe products, this is a great place to start if you don't mind it not being open-source. It also works great on Linux under Wine with no noticeable issues which is awesome.

*All the basic features are free to use, but if you're a user of Photoshop's generative fill, smart select, or other AI doohickeys and want to use those kinds of things in Affinity, you have to pay a small monthly subscription.

There's definitely some potential here I think, the name could be improved though. Not sure about the tags either.
