While it isn't humorous, it still fits in terms of being memetic, as in it is an idea meant to be spread around.

It fits the most original definition of meme, as a spread idea, but, any progression beyond that point and I think it falls off.

It isn't a shared joke, or even something like a trending hairstyle or theme.

If every sub-lemmy (I don't know the term for subs here) is political news, then this place is even worse than reddit was.
