Back in the day I had to talk to a guy who said he was the head of Bikers for Trump. He was upset about a company that was hiring people in the Philippines. Apparently American companies shouldn't hire Asians because of the way the Japanese treated our boys back in WW2. No problems with the Germans though, they fought like honorable warriors (and I guess they must not have done anything else objectionable either).

God damn, I was almost impressed at the sheer amount of stupid and repugnant that he managed to squeeze into so few words. And then he continued on and on because of course he had plenty of other awful things to say.

I'm still trying to grasp with the concept of a pro-political biker culture.

This is like Ted Kaczynski coming up with a dating app for government workers.

My cousin who was associated but not part of a couple one percenters back in the 80s just kinda hates authority of all types, pretty much classic fuck the corps, fuck the cops, fuck the politicians philosophy. Anyways he nearly jumped one of these bikers for trump types, if he was twenty years younger he wouldve put them close to death I suspect.

Also if anyones curious which groups, I know for a fact he has connections to the Diablos and Hells Angel's. His mom worked security for the Angel's way back in the day so that makes sense.

Oh so they are going to conviently forget how they (americans) put Japanese people in internment camps

[-] Makeitstop@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

More to the point, why are we bringing up Japan's treatment of American POWs in a war eight decades ago when talking about hiring people from the Philippines today? Anyone responsible for war crimes in WW2 is either dead or a hundred plus years old and not applying for a fucking job somewhere. And the Philippines were brutalized by Japan in that war, which makes wanting to punish them for the actions of the Japanese forces that much more insane. It's kind of like wanting to crackdown on those who were in Auschwitz, and not distinguishing between the guards and the prisoners.

Pants, stain-free.

Hands, soft as a baby's bum and clean as a whistle.

Motorcycle, nowhere to be seen.

These fuckers are not bikers. They are larping for their king.

[-] Kanda@reddthat.com 15 points 3 months ago

Even if they were, they'd be losers pretending to be in a criminal gang.

[-] Bo7a@lemmy.ca 16 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Just a reminder. Not everyone wearing a vest on a motorcycle is in a criminal organisation. One of my favorite patches just says 'unaffiiiated'

It is near my 'fuck racism' and 'defend trans homies' patches.

[-] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

Yeah, similarly the leather community still has plenty of motorcycle riders and usually isn’t criminal

[-] Kanda@reddthat.com 4 points 3 months ago

Hence the word 'pretending'.

[-] masterofn001@lemmy.ca 1 points 3 months ago

They be glowing.

[-] Snapz@lemmy.world 33 points 3 months ago

"And these were big men, okay, motorcycle men, tough men, with tears in their eyes even!"

Before or after?

[-] Huschke@lemmy.world 25 points 3 months ago

With the surge of grindr users during the republican event, I'm inclined to think this may be intentional.

[-] partial_accumen@lemmy.world 25 points 3 months ago

Log cabin Republicans?

[-] st3ph3n@midwest.social 20 points 3 months ago

I kinda wonder if these dudes later got their shit kicked in by some actual 1%er bikers.

[-] HootinNHollerin@lemmy.world 7 points 3 months ago

Meth is a hell of a drug

[-] Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone 7 points 3 months ago

Right, no one puts anything on their back

[-] benignintervention@lemmy.world 17 points 3 months ago

Better than the "I'm Voting Felon" shirt I saw today

[-] mkwt@lemmy.world 24 points 3 months ago

That type of shirt definitely has some energy to it.

In 1991 in Louisiana it was Democrat Edwin Edwards, whom every one knew to be corrupt, and who was later convicted and served time in prison.

Against David Duke, Imperial Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.

Edwards' campaign slogan was, "Vote for the crook! It's important!"

We finally found the election the DNC has been basing their strategy on for the past 12+ years

[-] TerraRoot@sh.itjust.works 14 points 3 months ago

That 'for' is awfully small....

[-] darki@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

Didn't even see it 😅

[-] Tylerdurdon@lemmy.world 10 points 3 months ago

I hope they are able to reach their life's goal, all of them.

[-] uebquauntbez@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

They stole the slogan from a group of ex-porn stars, i guess?

[-] thefartographer@lemm.ee 2 points 3 months ago

They knew what they were doing.
