tariffs force rapid reshoring of US manufacturing

full industrial renaissance starts. the golden era is real

factories rise overnight, fully automated, AI-driven

Not that I'd ever accuse fascists of being grounded in their beliefs, but I think this takes the delusional cake.

I'm also questioning what's the point of factories rising "overnight", as he put it, if they're "fully automated" and "AI-driven". Does this guy think he's getting a piece of that pie?? What is this, communism?

[–] Lamprey@hexbear.net 9 points 4 weeks ago* (last edited 4 weeks ago)

It's also nuts because they haven't done or even threatened to do anything about the 4 year term limit.

Like ok it's a bad idea to reindustrialize. OK let's do it anyways.

How fucking long do they think that takes? Well more than Trump's lifespan even if they somehow get away with the president for life thing, which they haven't even hinted at attempting.

So what crash the economy and then start planning a few projects, that's what you can do in 4 (or less he's old and fucking sweating grease) years

What's the follow up then? Who's the next trump who will carry this legacy to fruition? Fucking no one they're all losers

All of the people in this camp have no idea between the different between words, policy, and material. It's all the same.

Someone says something on Twitter that's as good as signing it into policy or doing it in real life. They go through their fucking day, every single god damned day, like that. It's barking mad

china mad, retaliates by cutting off hollywood films imports

woke propaganda machine collapses overnight

Wait but I thought china was bad because Hollywood was censoring itself to appeal to the Chinese market.

I really don't want to fedposting but these people are so fucking delusional that re-education won't work on them.

Von Clausewitz

The mouse from An American Tail?

[–] KobaCumTribute@hexbear.net 24 points 4 weeks ago* (last edited 4 weeks ago) (2 children)

A Prussian general who wrote a textbook on 19th century military strategy. The only line from him I can remember is something about focusing on protecting the capitol objective instead of spreading your forces thin and trying to defend your entire territory. It was on a loading screen in a Total War game.

[–] dannoffs@hexbear.net 34 points 4 weeks ago

That's way less impressive than being a talking mouse.

[–] sleeplessone@lemmy.ml 24 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

I know him from the quote "War is the continuation of politics by other means."

[–] KobaCumTribute@hexbear.net 21 points 4 weeks ago

Damn, how could I forget that one, that's way more famous than the one I remembered.

The fact that I keep seeing takes like this is starting to make me paranoid that all of human knowledge is fake and nobody ever knew what they were doing.

people should have to pass a test to be able to use the internet

trump laughs, grants zero tariffs to obedient allies

Half the tariffs were levied on obedient allies you fucking single celled organism

Making Up a Guy In Your Head to be Mad At has evolved into Making Up a Trade Policy in Your Head to be Happy About.

I could labor all of my life building a replica of Versailles in my head.

And it would still be nothing compared to the size of the mind palace the average chud loses themselves in.

Through mirrored hallways they run from the echo of their own footsteps damned to be both Theseus and Minotaur.

[–] Hohsia@hexbear.net 12 points 4 weeks ago

Just normal stuff. Normal things to think, really. The US will have an epiphany and use all of the compute in ChatGPT and integrate it with robotics to print out factories.

I also think it’s noteworthy how Trump support used to be “ironic” and this sort of stuff is the same shit you would’ve seen online in mid 2015, but it seems safe to say irony is dead.
