Not only pure evil, but completely lazy too.

“Just do a genocide lol.” Wow, how original. We could have had comprehensive housing plans, repealed prop 13 and restored housing’s status as housing first and not an investment vehicle…which leads to homelessness as a natural consequence.

But sure. A genocide. Because it’s easier for you.

I bet you anything housing everyone is cheaper than a genocide

China: Developing a solar power device in space that can probably power the entirety of China that only appears futuristic because-

America: Retvrn to 1800's British science tradition

Oh, like that time when authorities slipped a bunch of poison methanol into alcohol during prohibition? Or that whole EVALI debacle in September 2019 when black market weed vape cartridges contaminated with vitamin E suddenly started killing people out of nowhere, and stopped just as quickly?

Parris later said his comments were not meant to be taken literally, and insisted he was referring only to a “criminal element” within the unhoused population.

[–] xj9@hexbear.net 27 points 1 month ago

so literally, but only for "the bad ones".

[–] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 17 points 1 month ago

I'm guessing he has previously gone on record to say that he thinks homeless itself should be criminalized.

I think around 30 people i knew have died from fent. Addiction was already a weapon in the war on the poor but fent is like the rainbow capitalist AIDS crisis cause it only kills drug users. Hope he falls into a pit of dirty rigs. What a twisted monster.

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST

in a civilized country you'd be shot for even suggesting this.

[–] Xenomorph@hexbear.net 33 points 1 month ago

We're going to reinvent the zyklon b showers again instead of simply giving these people a place to live, huh?

anakin-padme-2 And he was fired immediately, right?

...right? anakin-padme-4

[–] GoodGuyWithACat@hexbear.net 27 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Facing a recall effort is probably the best outcome, there's nobody who can fire the mayor.

I can think of someone luigi-dance

[–] SevenSkalls@hexbear.net 10 points 1 month ago

I hope it works. The fact that the town elected him in the first place doesn't say good things about them.

I also wonder what he tells people about why he's facing a recall effort. Probably something like "Whatever happened to free speech?"

[–] WhatDoYouMeanPodcast@hexbear.net 15 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I remember when shit like that used to happen

Most criminals are not born; they are made.... What the State really punishes in a criminal is often its own neglect, its own failure to do its duty to the citizen.

William Randolph Hearst

This guy clearly comes from the 'instant transdermal fentynyl deaths' school of thought.

Eugenics aside, its possible and normal to use fentynyl safely, people die from it when they dont realise theyre using it.

People wouldnt die at all if they had access to safe injecting faccilities and the like that provide narcan.

[–] refolde@hexbear.net 16 points 1 month ago

What about giving them fentanyl to defend against cops?
