I wish it didn't require a $3k video card to do efficiently otherwise I'd so play around with text to video, image to video, and make my own fun slop. Oh also the killing the planet part and drinking up all out potable water is a major turn off too, but that's a me problem, most techbros don't give a flying fuck about a livable environment.
You need a lot more than a 3k card for half decent video generation, I think. Those models are incredibly inefficient
Yeah it's either that or you pay a site in bitcoin to rent out a server farm by the hour. Whole thing is cursed, I just want to make fun videos without killing the planet 
I think it's absolutely worth setting up local image gen/text models if you're interested in the tech. My computer is more than 8 years old and generates images fine, it just takes longer to do it. Local video gen is probably still a ways off being viable though.
Making slop is a fun activity.
I actually tried to set up comfyui but it said my gpu is too old. I did download the stuff for stable diffusion but haven't got around to it yet. I've been playing around with perchance.org it seems pretty powerful and it's totally free to use.
I am running AI models on a 4GB RTX 2050.
Why is it that people won't even download a free and open motherfucking source program and model and test it out?
