He's to busy hanging out with pedophile protectors to listen to customers lol.
To be fair it was always the f150 and their truck lines they do gang busters with, but I want small cars not trucks too
In the US for sure, in Europe Focus/Fiesta/Mondeo were everywhere. I'd have thrown money at them if they still made a Mondeo estate, as it stands it'll be VAG because that's what exists.
I sold my Fiesta before a cross-country move and if I'd known I was never going to be able to get a small car again I would have paid to have it shipped...
I think a fairly basic EV Focus platform would absolutely kill it right now. Ford has the Eluminator motor as a crate engine. Just throw enough battery in there to do 190 miles and people would go nuts.
Ford has done everything it can to avoid progress and deserves its fate.
Huge trucks to avoid environmental goals, worst EV strategy of all, etc.
Fuck Ford.
"We tried everything short of actually listening to our customers, where could we have gone wrong??"
I want a new Focus ST and a 2-door Maverick, but they aren't making much I want now. Just the Mustang.
Ford can fuck off. After hosting Trump and bending the knee to him.
Here's the quote the article is about:
When asked about a potential sedan, Farley said: “Never say never. The sedan market is very vibrant. It’s not that there isn’t a market there. It’s just we couldn’t find a way to compete and be profitable. Well, we may find a way to do that.”
Saved you a click.
All we wanted was the Falcon. Dammit.
Honestly that was their biggest mistake in many years.
Ford and GM.
Use Australia as the "Sedan" makers, Europe for the small cars and America for the trucks and just build models that are worldwide compliant. For those 3 markets to all be building a similar large sedan is idiocy.
The Pinto is their top priority.
Going after that domestic terrorism market, i see.
Ha, my older sister had a Falcon back in the mid-80s, cool little powder blue car.
A reasonably priced Taurus EV would kill it. Sadly, there's little chance they'll make one.
Just bring back the 1g Taurus.
About a month ago Forrest Auto Reviews on YouTube did an interview with the Ford CEO who expressed interest in a "rear wheel drive, EV, affordable performance sedan." I think it sounds cool, but I guess we'll have to wait to see if it actually goes anywhere
Sounds like the next model in the Mustang brand group
Only rubes drive American cars.
That's why all of my cars were designed somewhere else.
