They said it themselves time and time again - they don't care.

I've never had a mat in front of my apartment door but that's making me think twice.

My building doesn't allow them so check before you spend money

Why is being a therapist relevant?

[–] ickplant@lemmy.world 15 points 4 weeks ago

Here is why it is relevant in my mind. I think a lot of people consider therapists to be neutral like Switzerland when it comes to political matters.

But nothing could be further from the truth, the majority of us do our best to be anti-oppressive and promote social justice and equity. The profession itself is political.

I want it, but the ends curling up like that makes it look like a shitty, cheap doormat.

[–] BillyClark@piefed.social 12 points 4 weeks ago

The reason the ends are curling up like that is the way it was shipped, and has little to do with its quality. It was rolled up with the top towards the inside for shipping, but it should have been rolled with the top towards the outside.

But it's easy to fix. You just need to roll it the opposite way until it stops curling.

I mean, yes, it is ultimately a product made by someone seizing on the opportunity of the current political climate. It’s probably not the highest quality.

My friend has had one of these for years, so its just more popular now id say.

At one point he also had a mat that said “this isn’t a crack house, its a crack home

That one lived on the back door though haha

Probably shipped rolled up. Hopefully it'll flatten in a week or two.

Can you actually buy this or is it a Temu hallucination???

[–] halcyoncmdr@piefed.social 7 points 4 weeks ago (2 children)

Don't even need to go to Temu. There's dozens of options on Amazon.

[–] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 3 points 4 weeks ago

Yeah, my buddy got one years ago that just says "Go Away". They have all kinds out there.

[–] ickplant@lemmy.world 5 points 4 weeks ago

You can actually buy this. I have never been to this person’s house so I cannot attest to this being their front door, but I believe it’s real.
