“There’s thinking in and around the administration that the politics are a lot better if the Israelis go first and alone and the Iranians retaliate against us, and give us more reason to take action,” one of the sources told Politico under the condition of anonymity.

Probably the first time Trump has ever said "You go first, I insist." in his entire life.

[–] GreenBeanMachine@lemmy.world 5 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

It's not really Trump saying that. He doesn't understand that much to make this kind of strategic call.

[–] nonius@lemmy.zip 3 points 15 hours ago

One of my biggest problems with the past 8-9 years is the amount of blame Trump gets compared to his army of cronies making all of the policy decisions. He is a demonstrably terrible person, but he's clearly not the brains behind these policies

[–] MrFinnbean@lemmy.world 5 points 19 hours ago

Dont know. Some things he have said makes me think he likes to walk behind his daughters.

The new Axis of Evil. Shitler and pedolini. I’d say more than likely Israel is going to bomb a us ship as a false flag operation so pedolini can justify a regime change war.

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 99 points 1 day ago (5 children)

No one wants you to bomb Iran idiots.

[–] redsand@infosec.pub 5 points 19 hours ago

Ghislaine Maxwell does and she's Queen of the world. The US and UK shall bend to her will.

Israel does...

Yes well it will be a pre-emptive strike in terms of legality and public approval in the sense that the strike pre-empts anyone in their right mind supporting it or there being any non-bullshit legal basis for it.

[–] harmbugler@piefed.social 1 points 1 day ago

But Trump totally obliterated their nuclear capability

[–] NorskSud@piefed.social 4 points 1 day ago (3 children)

There are literally dozens of Iranians asking for it on European streets. Demonstrations every week, often very explicitly asking for that.

[–] hark@lemmy.world 1 points 10 hours ago

There were literally thousands of Americans who stormed the capitol on January 6, 2021. Do you think their will to overturn the election should have been carried out?

[–] Bloomcole@lemmy.world 2 points 15 hours ago

they are traitor rats, fans of the US/UK installed shah regime.
Or shitraelis they should get bombed, not Iran

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (2 children)

Sounds like a mossad psyop

[–] Aqarius@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Not necessarily. It could also be the MEK.

[–] Bloomcole@lemmy.world 2 points 15 hours ago

known terrorists, even the US had them on their list

[–] NorskSud@piefed.social -2 points 21 hours ago (3 children)

When a regime kills 30.000 protestors in a few days don't be surprised that their exiled family members ask the regime to be bombed. I fully understand them.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 13 hours ago

The pro-democracy movement has made it very clear that they want no US involvement. It'll get civilians killed and will make it harder to dislodge the mullahtocracy.

[–] Bloomcole@lemmy.world 2 points 15 hours ago

lies, you're probably a hasbara tool

Where did that number come from? That’s a propaganda narrative and a made up number. The United States and Israel are rogue fascist regimes ignoring international law at this point. Our media has been actively and publicly consolidated into pro Israel hands like Larry Ellison’s recent acquisition of tic toc and abc. I don’t believe it and I don’t believe we are doing this for liberation. We have imposed harsh sanctions on Iran for decades. With everything that is happening inside of our own country it is very hard to believe that human rights is the agenda for this administration. Mossad and the cia were in the protests killing people or funding and arming opposition because that is our playbook for regime change. Bombing or an Invasion of Iran would not be for the benefit of the Iranian people. Over a million people died in Iraq and the fabricated document stating that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction given to Colin Powell to present to the UN was from Israel. There’s countless footage of Bibi stating that Iran is manufacturing nukes and is a threat since the 80’s trying to instigate American military intervention. This is being done for the greater Israel project only. The greater Israel project is a settler colonialist expansion project that replaces the indigenous population with settlers through land grabs and genocide. Israel is by far the most dangerous and violent country on earth at this point they are constantly bombing their neighbors and annexing territory. Israel killed at least 70k (but probably way more) in Gaza to steal their land and they still aren’t letting journalists or humanitarian aid into Gaza to get an accurate assessment of the reality. We do know that the UN has determined that it was a genocide and over 100 countries have issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu. We need to stand down and completely divest from Israel and allow the un to do a full investigation of Gaza. The United States has threatened the EU, Canada, Mexico and several others at this point in pedogate and were starving Cuba to install disastrous American capitalism that is failing here in our own country so the pedo class can have more.

I'm going to a demonstration here in Brussels next Sunday, organized by Iranian exiles, I'll show them your input.

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 3 points 14 hours ago

Please talk to multiple people and see what they think about the regime change document and how the sanctions have affected their people. Thanks I’m actually interested in the response. One of my professors is Iranian I’m interested in his opinion too

They can cower behind the antisemitism shield where we can't.

[–] LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.world 17 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It really has been used as anti-Israel actions is anti-Semitism, which is a load of horseshit. If the U.S. bombs Iran and people criticize it, it's Anti-U.S. sentiment, not Anti-christian sentiment, unless all Christians suddenly say bombing Iran is what God wants.

[–] village604@adultswim.fan 10 points 1 day ago

If I were a practicing Jew I'd be furious if people kept conflating my faith with the state of Israel.

[–] yucandu@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I don't think people care about anti semitism so much anymore. Or any of the other isms for that matter.

[–] Adderbox76@lemmy.ca 1 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Or any of the other isms for that matter

I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me." Good point there. After all, he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. I'd still have to bum rides off people.”

[–] yucandu@lemmy.world 1 points 18 hours ago

Yeah but it's going away. There's an entire generation of people who grew up seeing terms like racism and sexism and anti-semitism being used to deflect against legitimate arguments.

Like you can't get 12 people to sit in a jury when the cops have beat up on the whole town, right?

[–] supersquirrel@sopuli.xyz 8 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Except we are clearly setting up our emotional support Israel to take all of the blame when this goes south, which it will....and Israel will deserve blame for it, they are foaming at the mouth for regional war but the US will spin around and say "we've been deceived by the jews again!" to get out of admitting to itself how fucked up the US is all by itself.

Cue history repeating itself in the same violent, xenophobic, stupid ways...

[–] crusa187@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Clearly Israel is the only one who wants this war, the US is just following orders.

This is why US shouldn’t allow its politicians to be up for sale, but alas, hard to fix stupid.

[–] supersquirrel@sopuli.xyz 3 points 1 day ago

There is no clearly delineating the idea of US and Israel in this foreign policy context, it is a continuous enmeshed concept, Israel is a vassal state of the US, I don't say that condescendingly, that is what it is.

[–] CrypticCoffee@lemmy.ml 2 points 21 hours ago

Should have give him the peace prize...

The cuck wars!

I like it when they start my war! Grrrr! Yeah baby!

C'mon and drop'em! We love to see you guys doing it! We should take video so we can replay it later.... Alone.... In the dark.

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 34 points 1 day ago (1 children)

So the same strategy they're trying with ICE at home. Do little actions to get a reaction that gives an excuse to hit back harder. Sounds fascist. Because it is.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 21 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Israel already tried this with their 12-Day War and ate shit when their David's Sling and Arrow system got riddled with ballistic buckshot.

Do they have an appetite for another active engagement? Idk. Seems like they prefer to go after softer targets

[–] supersquirrel@sopuli.xyz 6 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

No but Trump has an appetite for firing off all the air defenses that the US and Europe could use to resist Russia/give in aid to Ukraine and the air defense missile companies would love to have their buy orders full for the next 10 years from dumping the entire interceptor stock in an intense war with Iran.

If US service members die in missile strikes on bases in the middle east, all the better for underlining the stock market value of air defense missile companies.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

US and Europe could use to resist Russia

Grizzlies owner Robert Pera's tech company linked to Russia in war, per report

Telecommunications equipment made by the company of Memphis Grizzlies owner Robert Pera is being used by the Russian military in its war against Ukraine, according to a report from Hunterbrook Media.

...

In the report, Hunterbook Media revealed video where Wi-Fi equipment made by Ubiquiti is being shown on the front lines in the Russia-Ukraine war. The equipment reportedly has helped Russia use drones that have targeted civilians in Ukraine.

"Without Ubiquiti, these drones in Russia, the ones leading to massacres, would not work," Hunterbrook reporter Sam Koppelman said on the "Pablo Torre Finds Out" podcast on Jan. 27. "They would be flying blind."

The US and Europe are profiting massively off this conflict. They don't want it to end.

This has to be the onion are you kidding me?
