The same reason they have the government they do.
People refuse to participate meaningfully in elections. In this case, primaries.
What exists, reflects the participation exactly. Republicans have the strength they do, because their people vote and they do what they say they’re going to do, even if it’s bad. The rest of the country, the same thing. The Democrats are spineless and their people along with the neutrals who are selfish anyway, won’t participate.
Don’t call them spineless — this is what they’re for.
It just occurred to me that I have not heard any news from the Senate parliamentarian in the past year.
Him and Schumer must have dinner with McConnell every night because holy shit these two fucks are doing everything they can to screw over Democrats the same way McConnell has for over a decade.
How did Jeffries go from being a rising star for the Democratic party to best buds with Schumer, McConnell and Fetterman?
i'm convinced many democrats are just republican plants who ran as democrats to sabotage democrats and enable republicans.

but anytime you see someone running as a democrat, and as soon as they win, they allign 100% with republican votes and desires, its hard not to believe that they are some paid shill whose goal was to infiltrate and take democrat votes away in favor of republicans.
I don't really remember him ever being a rising star. He was in tight with Pelosi and able to pull a bunch of big money, but he was never the go to guy to present the Democratic case on an issue. No one ever talked about how that guy could be president some day.

It doesn't matter who they have dinner with when they answer to their handlers at AIPAC. Israel wants this war so they will make a few noises to pretend to be opposition but do everything tangible to support it.

We'll capture majorities in the midterms and the next congress Dems will be free to vote for the leadership they want, which should match what dem voters want.
