Unless they announce the Wii U 2, use the Immortal Science of Gamer Marxism to resurrect Satoru Iwata, drop the pokemon patent shit, and drop their attacks on emulation, I ain't interested in what they're putting down

one of those completely unexpected indie crossovers like Cadence Of Hyrule
remake of a game that I won't play because why play a remake but will still try to convince myself it's a good thing because new people will be exposed to that game I like
Zelda Maker
new Pikmin using the mouse controls
Mother 4
Vampire Survivors Jujutsu Kaizen sure fills that first one
OOTmake is second
Shame they missed the boat on the rest of my list
Well, nothing until pirates learn how to make an emulator for the Switch 2.
But I actually wouldn't mind a new Wario Land, they haven't released one since the Wii and are genuinely good platformers.
I hope they announce a free content update for Tomodachi because it's kind of missing a lot of potential.
A Star Fox that isn't a damn remake
A new IP, something creative
New Mother/Earthboud but that will never happen
Maybe some news about Deltarune ch5? Although that's not a Nintendo exclusive though
The last Deltarune chapters were announced at a Nintendo Direct, so I'm hoping we'll get some news today
Well, nothing until pirates learn how to make an emulator for the Switch 2.
I wonder if games on Switch 2 also target 30 fps? I tried emulating breath of the wild recently and it consistently gave me a migraine after 15 minutes of playing
on switch emulator? the wiiU version is much more performant i think
I actually completely forgot WiiU was a thing
can't think of any Nintendo games on Switch 2 that target 30
they've all been 60 so far
edit: 4-player split screen mario kart world is the only thing running at 30 I can think of
The only game from Nintendo I have legit any real interest in....would be a new and good F-Zero. Thats it.
I think the most fucked part of the franchise is that Sega (specifically the Yakuza devs) made GX, the best game in the series and it ain't even close lol. And I don't think Nintendo's letting them near it ever again.
If Sega owned the IP we'd still be getting F-Zero games no doubt, and Captain Falcon would be known in the modern world for something other than Smash Bros
F-Zero X is better due to the soundtrack, track editor in the DD version, and is actually complete-able without crying.
Also randomized joker mode, which I don't think GX has.
New F-Zero or F-Zero GX at 120hz and maybe 4K would be cool.
I'm now asking for a Yoshi's Safari sequel at 120hz and plays more like a DOOM clone with the SW2 mouse controls. Yoshi's Safari 2: Big Bullet Bill Huntin'
Oh yeah thats one of the rare cases where I would be totally fine with a remaster/remake. Give me a modern take on F-Zero GX with like all the bells and whistles 120hz +4k and im happy.
My list of back ups is huge since I've learned the art of pirating. Still waiting for a good one for Tamadachi for the steam deck. So probably won't look forward to anything till it comes out and I hear its good.
OOT remake
Oof, that would be dull. The new open world style they have is great so there's no way they wouldn't include it, but it would dominate a remake so much that it'd look like a a fan mod slapping OOT dungeons into BOTW. Hmm, musical powers could be pretty neat though... but still, bleh. The big time skip (future hyrule town was freakin' spooky as a kid) has already been cut up and reused in a softer way by the last two games.
That said I could get behind Majora's Mask, it has a far more distinct style, and the timeloop and mask mechanics would be a much more robust match for the BOTW-stuff. It was so hard to find that damn memory expansion cartridge for the N64...
Ace Attorney 7
3D Mario
I thought for a second you were saying you blocked Jubilee. It's too late for me.
I don't even play Smash anymore but I'll hope against hope they have some news on it just because I think it's interesting.
I agree that Earthbound would be neat but Nintendo was openly mocking people asking for that like a decade ago and the only change in policy since is not acknowledging them at all.
The only thing we have a good chance of that I'm aware of and would be remotely interesting is MK:W stuff.
If there's no Smash I still won't be buying Switch 2. There's other stuff on the console I'd like to play but I simply will not buy it without Smash first.
