"Warm" to political violence like this fucker hasn't seen literally everyone is calling for more Luigi. We are well beyond "warm".

My normie pmc coworkers were fucking praising the adjuster even before we found out how hot he is

Basically we're at "kill CEOs that hurt obviously people".

What we're not at are a few things like "kill enemy politicians" or "kill cops".

The CEOs that directly harm people are wave one of the acceptable violence, there are more levels to come that people will warm up to but there will need to be breakthroughs in acceptance. Charlie Kirk was almost one such breakthrough but I don't think it escalated to "we should do more of this" in most people's minds. It did turn into a ridiculed circus and it did turn into "he deserved it" though, so people have escalated to "I do not mind if my political enemies are killed" even if they aren't directly calling for it.

(for the feds, this is not a call for violence, merely an observation of where the current average is at)

And even if that weren't the case, political violence has been ongoing and overwhelming across the decades and centuries, it is just traditionally used by the ruling class against the working class. Of course to this anti-communist shitslime, it only counts as "political violence" on the rare occasions when it's members of the subordinate class daring to use violence against the ruling class, when it's people fighting back against their oppressors. That's what is fortunately "warming up" as it becomes increasingly apparent how necessary it is and how ultimately it is the only thing that is going to work if we want to stave off the increasing political violence the ruling class has been inflicting on us (something that will only get worse domestically as the empire crumbles and it gets harder for the imperialists to do it in their exploitation of the global south). The problem with his "political violence warming up" bullshit isn't that he's ignorant to how warm it already is, it's the swapping of victim and oppressor: victim blaming while simultaneously demonstrating a persecution complex.

Also, it's rich coming from the shitheads that constantly "joke" about trans people doing self harm, love whining about how they're not allowed to be racist, and constantly like "joking" about throwing anyone who is left of them out of helicopters.

Fuck these shitheads.

Very exciting news. Can't wait for the update

[–] agentant@hexbear.net 20 points 1 week ago

Let's fucking Jooeeee

[–] segfault11@hexbear.net 18 points 1 week ago (1 children)

it's a major version update, but it should still be backwards compatible with woke 1

[–] nasezero@hexbear.net 15 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Also, I recommend folks wait for Woke 2.1, these major releases always have some kinks to work out.

[–] segfault11@hexbear.net 14 points 1 week ago

actually this time they're working kinks in for 2.1, but what do you expect when shipping a half finished product and patching it later is so normalized 🙄

Anti-corruption is literally the most lib shit imaginable lmao, everyone is anti-corruption buddy, yet no one but Marxists correctly point out that it happens in the private sphere.

[–] Carcharodonna@hexbear.net 17 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I hope woke 2 includes force-fem gulags

[–] agentant@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I think I know someone who suggested this

[–] Dpek@lemmy.zip 8 points 1 week ago

I know of a certain reddit user with a idea for pilots getting "yes" amount of drugs, one of which would have had that effect

And it was ofcource on noncredible defence

[–] NephewAlphaBravo@hexbear.net 14 points 1 week ago

is this doomsaying or a sales pitch?

[–] thefunkycomitatus@hexbear.net 14 points 1 week ago

More like the material reality of all this shit is coming to a head and they can't really respond to it, because the only tool in their toolbox is abstract culture war stuff. They want to bundle people noticing that they can't afford food with culture war shit, so they can maintain some credibility among suburban podcast enthusiasts by pretending to have called it all along, and show that being upset at your inability to survive is the same thing as watching a historical drama with POC in it.

The anti-woke media guys are just as bad as neoliberal media guys in their ability to confront the issues people care about. These mfers miss Woke 1.0 so bad it's not even funny. They wish it was still as simple as complaining about pronouns in bio. That was the kind of shit that would land you a $200k a year commentator job in 2018. That shit is fucking over my dude you're going to have to get a real job like the rest of us because that biting commentary is nothing now.

Affordability (Marxist materialism);

stalin-gun-1

Communism is when you want landlords to keep rent at or below 30% of income for the average (mean) worker

[–] ZWQbpkzl@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago

That's the winning combo. Glad everyone can see it now. Also its purely a testament to Israel's barbarism that anti-zionism has made it into the list.

Every president ever: I'm trying to make things more affordable. (Allegedly)

Communists: Can we actually make things affordable?

This guy: THE COMMUNISTS ARE KILLING THE ECONOMY!!
