Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.

It would actually be so fucking funny if Binface caused the downfall of Reform.
I feel like it is becoming possible. Or at least irrevocable from Farage, and Farage is Reform. There is similar tones from the media as Truss with the lettuce or Miliband and his bacon sarnie.
It's horrid that Britain has reached a state where the most popular left wing party gets less than a third and the party snapping at their tails is basically The National Front 2.
New Labour is not a leftwing party.
Under its previous leader it was probably even to the right of center-right.
Jury is still out on how far to the Right its current leader will keep it.
Labour haven't really been a left wing party since 1995
1950, they stopped being a left wing party when they told women to get back in the kitchen and abided by governments where raping women was legal, abortion was illegal and being gay was mentally ill. I spit on labour as a historical entity.
When Starmer was leading Labour, Farage was effectively the PM-in-waiting, the owners’ and right-wing media’s anointed viceroy. Now he suddenly doesn’t want to play this game any more and calls a byelection that only a joke candidate stands against him in (and looks to beat him). Given that Farage was UKIP and that all but disintegrated into a small group of angry cranks when he left, there probably isn’t much hope for a post-Farage Reform UK. The most viable candidates will jump back to the Conservative Party (which, for its fortunes, is a huge, old institution with the inherent buoyancy that that brings), and others may merge into another right-wing fringe party (the Tice mob, the one Morrissey was bigging up, some actual blood-and-soil Nazi death cult Elon Musk donates a few hundred million to, or whatever).
TIL Morrissey is a racist fascist fuck.

I've left the UK years ago (not even a Brit, but lived there for over a decade), and even I will be buying some popcorn for that event.
Can we all give some appreciation to the author of that headline.
This made my day.

Except for Labour, they're all within margin of error. Looks more like undecides and maybe a few LibDems are coming home to Labour than anything. Greens are depressingly flat, so this clearly isn't a big shift in ideology.
I guess just jettisoning Keir Starmer is enough to give Labour a small bounce.
