What a wild sentence:

Defendant did not inform the Plaintiff prior to his acceptance of Defendant’s offer of employment that the Comcast Store has a policy of subjecting Retail Sales Consultants to public assaults by co-workers—at the direction of Ms. Peterson, the store manager—for the purpose of increasing Defendant’s sales and profitability

The fuck.

Sounds like the manager got off on lording her limited power over people.

Middle management on a power trip?

I once worked for a short while at a place where they published everybody in the company's monthly sales in order to embarrass the people with fewer sales, and I honestly thought that little bit was too abusive.

I guess I was naive. And I guess I'm not cut out for sales.

Sales environments are such hotbeds of abuse. They want the most competitive assertive bullies they can get. Then they wonder why everyone hates salespeople.

Think about the best way to construct a sales team. Commission with elevated commission for meeting targets, sales interactions with product team to prioritize features.

Hazing is illegal. Sue them.

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

Pretty sure that is why the title of this thread is with regards to a lawsuit.

Management straight from clown's college

The manager should have Molotov cocktails smashed in their face. /s

The "/s" is there only because it would end up killing them or end up causing irreversible damage. If the above was not the case, then yeah, fuck them.

it would end up killing them or end up causing irreversible damage.

Depends how hard you smash.

If you smash them very gently, it will only be uncomfortable ... and send a message.

Managed by the Three Stooges, apparently.

If you think America is the only place workers get assaulted, boy are you in for a a shock.

With pies though? Hmm, maybe.
