It seems pretty, but I am not sure I would enjoy it getting in my shorts ..

[–] dbx12@programming.dev 75 points 10 months ago (2 children)

You wouldn't enjoy regular sand either. It's coarse and rough and gets everywhere.

[–] sukhmel@programming.dev 13 points 10 months ago

But at least it's not spiky coarse

[–] whereBeWaldo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 10 months ago

It annoys not just the men but women and children too

[–] proudblond@lemmy.world 11 points 10 months ago

Even walking barefoot seems like it would be painful!

That's the biggest cell I've seen since my first phone 25 years ago!

And technically there are even larger individual cells, such as adipocytes or myocytes.

[–] chuckleslord@lemmy.world 8 points 10 months ago

Ostrich eggs. Single cell, though different since it's a haploid cell.

Walking barefoot is better or worse than walking on LEGO pieces?

[–] jBlight@lemmy.world 20 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Might be a silly question from me, but I have no experience with that type of sand. Does it hurt when you run your hand through it or grab it? How fragile or tough are those pieces of sand?

[–] Worx@lemmynsfw.com 10 points 10 months ago

Can't be that fragile else the waves would have destroyed them long ago

[–] zloubida@lemmy.world 17 points 10 months ago

That makes me strangely uncomfortable.

[–] fd_nomad@feddit.de 13 points 10 months ago
