There aren't gonna be presidential elections in 2028, I'm calling it now.
He will say that the elections are too expensive and that he will save 100 billion dollars of taxpayer money by not having elections. Instead of the elections, he will make a poll on Truth Social where 100% of users will choose him over Gruesome Newsome. NYT will run a headline about how great and cost-effective this is. Libs will post epic clapbacks on twitter.
However, the USA is a Travis Bickle factory so there is still hope that we will see a very funny headline by that time

The "method" is to literally just do it and know that the democrats will tut-tut and wag their finger announce how this goes against rule of law, and he'll just ignore them and they won't actually move to stop him.
I think a far worse outcome is him changing the rules so that Musk can run. Not an American, but a Musk term as president would probably be far more destructive than a third Trump term for y'all.

I think the chance of the dems taking the House next year is zero. If I'm right - in red states the GOP will use any and all methods skew the results of federal elections including openly breaking the law. Why wouldn't they? They aren't going to be charged in state court and they certainly aren't going to be charged in federal court by Trump's DOJ. And - of course - Trump's FBI won't investigate any GOP criminality of any kind.
