It was always going to go in this direction. Whether it’s the “final solution” for Jews, Muslims, LGBTQ, trans or Latin people - it was always going this way. Fascist are gonna fash.

The right hand hates the Jews openly while the left hand is deporting people protesting Jews.

What a big tent they have built for themselves.

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 167 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Oh, you liberals, calling everyone who does Nazi salutes, or wears Nazi tattoos, or calls for Nazi genocides, or constantly advocates Nazism, a Nazi. It's so tiresome!

[–] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 10 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

Nazi.

Also, I'm a progressive, thanks. I know you fuckers, (both liberals and conservatives) have forgotten that we exist, but there are way more than two parties despite the failure of FPTP.

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 5 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

That video was perfect. And yes, conservatives and liberals alike tend to disregard the left, but they've lived under decades of propaganda and an electoral system specifically intended to entrench power within a very narrow political range.

Goddamnit, here we go again.

What is it with the right-wing fascination with Jews?

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 33 points 2 days ago

You could ask the same question about POC, women, gays, trans, non-xtians, immigrants, liberals....

[–] ameancow@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

They have a lot of existing support for antisemitism, it's been established over centuries, most people who hate Jewish people nowadays have no idea why. Fascists and assholes just want any excuse to have an enemy to hate.

[–] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 47 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I'm certain there were Jews who voted for the fucking Nazis in 1932 and now we have history repeating itself in the US of A. WTF!

The organization primarily attracted members from the anticommunist middle class, small business owners, self-employed professionals such as physicians and lawyers, national conservatives, and nationalist World War I veterans, many of whom believed that Nazi antisemitism was only a rhetorical tool used to "stir up the masses."

Oof

History repeats

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago

Yeah, sounds very familiar doesn't it?

"He doesn't really mean it" How many times have we all heard something like that, often followed with a pivot to talking about Gaza (for some on the left) or tax cuts/"great at business" (for the right).

[–] dejected_warp_core@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

On the one hand, the shock and horror that people experience when their government goes hard on bigotry, demands some kind of retreat to psychological safety. On the other, the above is not the kind of copium one should reach for. What's sad is that, as a group, they probably had the resources to actually do something useful to help themselves, rather than offer mutual support to ignore all the warning signs.

This is why it's dangerous to not always be seeking the truth, no matter how uncomfortable it is

It's going to come back to bite you sooner or later

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_collaboration_with_Nazi_Germany

I don't imagine this is in any way a comprehensive list, but these people were definitely Jews, and collaborating with The Third Reich. I would suspect they all voted along party lines to prove their "loyalty." The same as today.

Yowza. After the ADL defended musks blatant and obvious nazi salutes, how are they gonna sugar coat this?

[–] masterofn001@lemmy.ca 13 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

The ADL tomorrow:

Well, akshually, the final solution is just an idea and that's probably not what the actual Nazi meant by his direct reference to actual Nazi terminology, and we support antisemitism in all its democratic forms.

But please leave Jared alone, because trump said it was mean.

[–] belastend@slrpnk.net 19 points 2 days ago

This is the same guy who shouted out a news station for hosting a certain contest: "If you can prove 6 million jews died, we will give you 6 million dollars."

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 24 points 2 days ago

Meanwhile, dipshits fall for the same bunch investigating "antisemitism" at campuses. What a fucking load that is.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 30 points 2 days ago (2 children)

So when do the adults in the room start the checks and balances?

[–] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 17 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

They all got primaried or assassinated for being "too radical left wing," the same as they eventually did to Bernie Sanders, Martin Luther King Jr, and John Fitzgerald Kennedy.

[–] avidamoeba@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 days ago

Don't forget antisemitic!

I’m sure trump will be all over this, like he was with Columbia.

[–] jonne@infosec.pub 8 points 2 days ago

He'll invite him to Mar-a-Lago for dinner.

[–] Numinous_Ylem@lemmy.world 11 points 2 days ago

How about the final solution to the nazi TV pundit problem? 🤔

Maybe there's a place we can send them all.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago

I'm supposing they'll have to wait until donvict passes away or is Amendment 25'ed before they'd be able to deport his daughter and son-in-law? Maybe that's why he's talking about 2 years out?

[–] Late2TheParty@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago

Oh, this guy is a BIG OLE idiot. Gotcha.

[–] frickineh@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

You know, I've developed a twitch in my left eye the last week or so, and I feel like every day, I see more reasons why that might be.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago

Well he seems like a kind and personable fellow.
