Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Summary

Elon Musk, after spending $21 million backing conservative Brad Schimel in Wisconsin’s Supreme Court race, amplified election fraud claims following Schimel’s loss to liberal judge Susan Crawford.

Musk boosted a post by Alex Jones featuring Roger Stone, who alleged mail-in vote fraud. Schimel rejected the claims, urging supporters to accept the results.

Musk pivoted to highlighting a voter ID ballot measure, though Wisconsin already requires ID. Critics see his reaction as echoing Trump-era denialism.

Despite GOP pressure, Schimel’s concession stood out for its rare break from MAGA conspiracy rhetoric.

he payed for that election fair and square!!!

[–] Tryenjer@lemmy.world 22 points 6 days ago

Poor Musk was robbed, he was promised that if he paid generously, the election result would be guaranteed. In the end he was cheated, it's unfair. Cry, Cry, crocodile tears. 😭

I want to know why anyone still uses that shitty Nazi site he bought.

Unfortunately, the art community is still big. No other platform has as much engagement with small time artists. I use it just for that. Sometimes Ill get curious and see political tweets. They're almost always filled to the brim with comments spouting: hate, disinformation or deflection. You'll see sane comments but the algorithm buries them. I'm sure most are bots but the nazi-ism is definitely boosted.

I've made accounts on bsky, pixelfed and cara and post there also. Unfortunately the masses haven't moved to those yet so commissions and posts are sparse.

Twitter overtook deviant art?

[–] dnick@sh.itjust.works 3 points 5 days ago

Would be interesting if everyone still stuck using it consistently advertised a discount for finding them on any site besides Twitter. Might not make the biggest difference by itself but it could start a trickle that turns into the flood.

Basically a surcharge for users that only know Twitter or otherwise wouldn't be bothered by the noise. Maybe call it a tarrif that can be easily avoided :)

You have to understand his perspective. He paid for it, so he thinks it's his

How can this man walk freely on the street? He would get shanked in prison and those dudes have to make knives with toothbrushes and other garbage.

This idiot just walks around and no one shoots their shot.

[–] TranscendentalEmpire@lemm.ee 28 points 6 days ago

Well, I mean he had an entire security detail deputized by the US Marshalls....so it's not like he's just walking out in the open. The guy surrounds himself with sycophants and other billionaires, it's the only way to completely isolate yourself from reality.

I don't think he's really made an actual public appearance since being booed on stage at that chapel show, and that was by people going to see an unfunny transphobe.

[–] pleasegoaway@lemm.ee 3 points 6 days ago (1 children)

He would be protected by the nazis in prison.

[–] GetOffReddit@lemmy.world 4 points 6 days ago

lol, how long before the prison Nazis get tired of his shit.

[–] 2ugly2live@lemmy.world 43 points 6 days ago (2 children)

YOU LITERALLY BOUGHT VOTES

[–] Zess@lemmy.world 32 points 6 days ago (1 children)

He's been able to get whatever he wants by throwing money at it his whole life, so when it doesn't work he automatically cries foul.

[–] AngryRobot@lemmy.world 23 points 6 days ago

Exactly like Trump.

[–] WindyRebel@lemmy.world 17 points 6 days ago (1 children)

…Which is why he thinks it’s rigged…

[–] frezik@midwest.social 2 points 6 days ago

Can't argue with that logic. CHECK AND MATE, LIBERAL!

[–] Grizzlyboy@lemm.ee 9 points 5 days ago

Luigi his ass already! What a fucking loser he is.

[–] demizerone@lemmy.world 13 points 5 days ago

Remember folks: its always projection with these fucks. This means they are doing this but it didn't work. And I'm not talking about the millions this dipshit lost.

[–] iamnotme@feddit.uk 13 points 5 days ago

I didn’t win an election I was trying to rig, it must be a fix.

What a fucking flex 😂

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 9 points 6 days ago

What? Just because he did not get what he paid bribes for?

[–] WrenFeathers@lemmy.world 16 points 6 days ago

I guess maybe? Since technically, he did buy it, right? But this is sort of like calling the cops because someone stole your heroin, isn’t it??

[–] Realitaetsverlust@lemmy.zip 8 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

I wear a cheese hat

Your arguments are invalid

Really? I want to know how Leon Hitler manipulated the voting machines in the swing states.

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 8 points 6 days ago

3..2..1.. wooowww, is he REALLY saying that? I am SO surprised and I really NEVAH expected this to happen! Oh my God, did this really happen?

Nah, of course not

We all knew immediately after her win that this was the next step. First try to cheat, if that doesn't work, lie about the other cheating to get what you want.

Elmo is a mysigenic sociopathic narcissist sho actively destroys and ends lives.

[–] Plurrbear@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

All GOP elections “were stolen” when suffering such a loss… I would be embarrassed too, if I spent that “random winning money” the GOP voters were gifted and STILL were defeated by a LANDSLIDE! 😂 Drumpf is def cry texting his “friends” about it! Lmao!?

Damn, Epstein is dead… guess we don’t know who he was “texting” lmao!!!!

[–] chilldrivenspade@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago

Alex Jones and Roger Stone, two stand up guys if I’ve ever heard of any!

[–] Melatonin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 6 days ago

OF COURSE it was. Nobody would legitimately not sleep with Musk, I mean not want to be his daughter, I mean, not vote the way he dictated unless there was outside influence.

Couldn't be him.
