I smoked marijuana and instantly became 5% Chinese. It's scary stuff.

[–] ClimateStalin@hexbear.net 40 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Oh no I must be like 20,000% Chinese now

[–] Lussy@hexbear.net 21 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I’m like a billion percent Chinese and I can’t even speak Mandarin

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 13 points 1 week ago

[–] Hyper_red@hexbear.net 18 points 1 week ago

So I need what, 20 blunts?

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 14 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Thanks for this tip comrade, but the year's about to end and I haven't hit my quota. Are there any other ways to eek out a few percent? I think the zoomers want to bring back Cultural Revolution style struggle sessions, I'm nervous.

[–] happybadger@hexbear.net 16 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Every time you post on Hexbear you become a little more Chinese. Not much, just a little. I'm maybe 7.6% with the Hexbear bump. That adds up.

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago

Thanks again

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 10 points 1 week ago

Its cool for Musk to fuck Social Security while balls deep in a k hole but this is too much? Dudes probabky got ties to an opiod company

[–] JoeByeThen@hexbear.net 43 points 1 week ago (3 children)

It's been a while since I've done a deep dive, but iirc most of the anti-legalization assholes are heavy in the pocket of private prisons and alcohol companies.

[–] take_five_moments@hexbear.net 25 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (2 children)

also they don't have the avenues for legal pot revenue like oligarchs in legal states do. california for example can get money from private prisons, alcohol AND pot. but that ship has sailed in red states, they are probably never getting legalization just like we're never getting legalization at the federal level.

Au contraire, my good comrade. A bunch of pot shops in eastern Oregon formed a PAC and contribute campaign funding to Idaho legislators that are against legalization. So the red states do get some revenue from it!

[–] Euergetes@hexbear.net 19 points 1 week ago

political corruption is so cool niko-wonderous

[–] take_five_moments@hexbear.net 16 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

the free market provides

edit: and yeah, the interests of legal states is to keep border states that are illegal illegal otherwise they lose a chunk of money. what a great system!

Virginia would have legalized it like four fucking years ago if they didn't have a Republican governor who just was like, nope, VETO'D. with no recourse for the populace of course, god bless democracy

they now have a democrat governor so I wonder what the next excuse will fucking be to prevent me from being able to just go to a fucking store and buy weed

[–] JustSo@hexbear.net 10 points 1 week ago

Now why would a fine young poster like yourself bring harmless healthy tobaccah into this conversashun.

[–] LisaTrevor@hexbear.net 31 points 1 week ago

how exactly do drug traffickers benefit from the government coming in and undercutting their entire source of demand?

[–] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 31 points 1 week ago (2 children)

wins young male vote

IMMEDIATELY shows their ass not as cool 4chan memelords but as fuddy-duddy puritans.

Bold strategy, Cotton.

[–] ConcreteHalloween@hexbear.net 28 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Eh, the thing about fuddy duddy puritans is they tend to let middle class white boys get away with some debauchery as long as they don't do any gay shit (or hell, maybe a little gay shit but only for funzies).

I think 4channers will still be able to get weed just fine, puritanism for thee, weed and hentai for me.

[–] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago

True, but boy is it bad for the narrative about the right being just a bunch of fun bros. (Not that dems will ever capitalize off of this.)

Support for marijuana legalization is at 70%, by the way. Not like these fucks care but it's very funny watching them still try the reefer madness line when legalization has had majority popular support for over a decade now.

The idea of China of all places exporting weed to the US is just bizarre, I've seen people on RedNote saying that weed is a hard drug that will literally kill you.

[–] BeanisBrain@hexbear.net 12 points 1 week ago

Given the Opium Wars, it's pure projection

[–] SexUnderSocialism@hexbear.net 11 points 1 week ago

I've seen people on RedNote saying that weed is a hard drug that will literally kill you.

That must be why they're exporting it to our freedom loving country. To kill us all! wojak-nooo

[–] ConcreteHalloween@hexbear.net 20 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I think if you wanted to destabilize America by promoting drug use among it's citizens there would be better candidates than weed.

Like you know, opioids.

[–] LeeeroooyJeeenkiiins@hexbear.net 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

opium wars? bad shit

weed wars sounds like a Discovery TV original

Meanwhile in Australia, the therapeutic goods administration has NEVER tested a medical cannabis product EVER. Private testing of the products sometimes turns up carcinogenic pesticides, a company importing trash weed from Israel had to pull a bunch of shit product because we were being sold ancient scraps at premium prices, locally grown "medical" growers aren't effectively restricted in the pesticides THEY use.

ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC FUCK.

Presinald Xi my lungs cry out for liberation!

Edit: it's gotta be the worst karma to smoke weed grown in and named after a settlement in occupied territories.

[–] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 9 points 1 week ago

If your weed doesn't come from a guy who is covered in tattoos and has a pet snake, you shouldn't trust it.

[–] Blakey@hexbear.net 7 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I just want legal weed, man. I'm a recovering addict so I don't wanna be in touch with actual dealers, I don't wanna try and convince a doc I need a script, I just wish I could have a little bit of weed every now and then.

I was doing it before it was legal

I'm doing it now that it's legal

I'm gonna do it when it's illegal again

[–] Des@hexbear.net 17 points 1 week ago

only thing I've heard of is hemp farmers shipping bulk extracted "crude" CBD oil to China to be processed into various other cannabinoids. mostly because the U.S. doesn't even have the capacity to do so at scale. and when some cannabinoid companies were discovered doing this they got in legal trouble (of course redditors smugling declaring it "Temu thc-a" or whatever).

so yeah thank you China for a brief period where pure thc-a crystals, cbd isolate, and other noids were as cheap as culinary spices. only downside is all the shitty one use vapes that resulted from that
