MODERATORS

The youtube channel talks about boycotting the US and some of the news. They are not a professional YouTuber and they admit it, but they opened a Reddit community, I have tried posting on it about moving to Lemmy and Mastodon instead of Reddit but. Yesterday I signed back into Reddit for the first time in a while, and posted about the alternative of Lemmy on a Canadian server. It was frustrating that the mod removed the post with the whole airport line.

I am just frustrated.

I left Reddit years ago now, and I enjoy his channel. I wish he would join us over here. As for your post being removed, that's just bunk. Maybe it's just one of his mods who thinks Reddit is the be all end all. We know Reddit is absolutely full of them.

I also came from Reddit, I've spoken highly of Lemmy in a few subs, canadianidiots, and ehbuddyhoser.

Might just be best trying a DM, but Reddit is definitely been going downhill for a while, they keep making it easier for people to engage in bad faith, and post misinformation under the guise of driving more engagement.

Some of us are listening.
I am slowly deleting all my reddit posts before I delete my account. This is my first comment on PieFed.

Welcome and thank you for coming from Reddit, I have not deleted my posts but I have been considering doing a copy and paste for them all saying something like I have moved to Lemmy.

A couple other decent ones are the OhShow, The Billy Kelly podcast, and of course Charlie Angus. I'd like to see greater Canadian presence on Lemmy, Mastodon, PieFed, PeerTube, Owncast, and whatever other fediverse floats your boat. Ask people on these podcasts to consider simulcasting on the other platforms like peertube and owncast and stop funding the grifting billionaires. Personally i think because of the problem we have with foreign ownership of our media the federal government should tax them to support alternative homegrown media.

the goose is also golden.

As far as Canadian presence on the fedi, potential federal NDP leader Avi Lewis has been prioritizing Mastodon as one of the campaign's primary social media outlets:

He was a bit late to the game, Tanille and Tony where there about a month earlier.

I love both Tanille and Tony. Tanille is going to be #1 on my ballot, no doubt about that.
