I could see it as being a part of the aim of division. The Andrew Tate style "having sex with your partner is gay" stuff, trying to destroy a basic drive (though of course, not an essential or mandatory drive) towards unity (hee hee) by destroying the mutual recognition that the real physical body of the other can be something attractive?
