That boat left the harbor years ago. This fact continues to deepen my already strong dislike of humanity.
The icing on the cake was that it was caused by a drunk Russian missile, not a Ukrainian drone.

I'm uncultured. Reference?

Holy shit! That's fucking amazing!
Hopefully a lot of people in Moscow are watching
Absolutely mental scene. Completely bananas
Or completely buckwheat as the case may be.
My ex Russian girl used to make the best buckwheat porridge. She was also Ukrainian too and thankfully she's away from witnessing all of this shite in the Netherlands.
Ooh, a new form of turret tossing!
If only there was some way to stop this immediately?
It would be too costly to attach the caps more securely.
Tifu by making my storage vessel a highly pressurized vessel temporarily
Sorry to be serious about jokes, but I thought Iβd share the fun fact that these caps are actually not attached at all, which is probably why it got yeeted (yote?) so cleanly. If the storage tank had a top at a fixed height, vapors would accumulate in the air space above the oil, so these huge tops actually float on top of the fluid and rise and fall with the fluid level. You can tell how full they are just by looking at them from above.

That shows US reserves are all but gone.
Hey, thatβs cool information. Although, my point still stands: way too expensive to attach those caps in place.
Do you happen to have any idea how large that container might have been? I assume thereβs no standardized sizes for containers like thatβ¦
That's the point you don't attach them in place. They have to move up and down, they basically float on the oil.
how about not triggering a series of events that lead to them being blown off?
Do you mean legally forbid rapid combustion? You may be on to something
Cutting off oxygen could help.
Especially when applied to their psychopath FΓΌhrer.
Russian tanks and Russian Fuel Depots seem to share some DNA.
You can forget how big these refinery/storage places get.
Only natural for the turret toss to evolve in such a way
First we got cosmonauts, now we got flying saucers!

Ah. That legend always brings a smile to my face

Doesn't even look real.
Honestly I was thinking I'd have to delete it for being AI slop based on the thumbnail photo, but the videos are-jaw dropping
it just got way better, a video from a new angle just dropped that shows that the container explosion was indeed set off by a russian air defense missile missing the drone.
edit lafinlandia already beat me to it and posted on the Ukraine ocmmunity here

Pure Gold
This is possibly the best example I have ever seen of why air defense is not something you can bullshit.
Tankies tank tank with antitank missile
That's a apartement building sized disk that flew 20 - 30 stories high?
Ukraine knows its stoichiometry!
Itβs party time!
I want to believe
