She's going to propose adding Zionists to the LGBTZ community before 2027 meow-popcorn

[–] EstraDoll@hexbear.net 23 points 5 days ago

Ridiculous, shed never do that

She'd use that opportunity to drop the T in LGBZ πŸ™„

[–] save_vs_death@hexbear.net 42 points 6 days ago

yeah and before that bi and trans people were considered bored straights, for someone that yaps about "being part of the community" she doesn't seem to know shit about our history

[–] GenderIsOpSec@hexbear.net 37 points 5 days ago

Brianna Wu

opinion discarded. she can go back to imagining how she wants trans people to be aborted on her own.

[–] Infamousblt@hexbear.net 38 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Wow I was just talking about this recently in my queer affinity group meetup and we were all lamenting how much of the hardcore masc gay culture fucking hates us soft gender confusing queers. Capitalist individualism comes to divide oppressed people yet again. It's super fucked up. I have nothing whatsoever against "the cis gays" as it were, we're all struggling the same struggle. But they rarely seem to think so and it's stupid. We can do so much more together. Our struggle is similar.

Ugh it makes me so mad. So yeah this is top quality ragebait.

I absolutely have it against cis gays who write

cw bigoted language

"no fats, no fems"

or similar but racist things on their Grindr profiles.

wait why wouldn't those subgroups have locker-room problems?

NBs not needing anything from public policy is absurd

[–] regul@hexbear.net 33 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Has she ever had a correct take about anything?

Kind of impressive tbh.

[–] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 13 points 5 days ago

she probably said some correct things during gamergate

Its funny cause me and my wife have been saying events are gay not queer (derogatory) to talk about rainbow capitalism.

[–] FlakesBongler@hexbear.net 28 points 5 days ago

I bet three to one here that Brianna was the sort of person who made life hell for the weird kids in the locker room

As a little weird kid, I knew lots of people like her

Also a little weird, but perfectly willing to join in on fucking with the weirder kids to make sure the crosshairs never stayed on their own backs

Brianna Wu posts are easy mode.

Israel cooked her brain. Some fine looking slop

[–] CloutAtlas@hexbear.net 14 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

Her brain was already cooked beforehand, she is a g*mer and an Elizabeth W*rren supporter. The outlook was never positive, chud harassment or not.

[–] Azarova@hexbear.net 24 points 5 days ago

reported for cheating (posting Brianna Wu)

[–] marxismtomorrow@lemmy.today 18 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago) (1 children)

Isn't Brianna Wu a straight white trans woman?

...She's advocating for removal of her own rights and her own exclusion from gay people and straight people.

[–] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 16 points 5 days ago

She thinks she's a special exception that won't be rounded up and slaughtered like the rest. She'd be screaming that she's "one the good ones" as she gets dragged away after achieving her goals.

[–] chgxvjh@hexbear.net 24 points 6 days ago

She's such a boomer about it

[–] Busgirl@hexbear.net 23 points 6 days ago

Ahistoric nonsense Brianna get in the barbara-pit

[–] nothx@hexbear.net 21 points 6 days ago

The logical next step here is β€œI don’t even see gender”.

geordi-no Pikmin

geordi-yes Pick-me

Also lol @ the Brianna Wu solidarity Badempanada crossover episode in the middle of the tweet

bored straight people

they're not gonna know our music.

I wish I had to hand that one tumblr post, in which the user states that as someone queer from the imperial periphery they feel totally alienated from most queer spaces, which are both US-centric and often have an identity based purely around consumption. Feels like it would apply.

Also I <3 exorsexism

[–] Umechan@hexbear.net 10 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago) (1 children)

What even is "our music"? I'm one of the LGBT identities she thinks are getting pushed out, and I'm doubtful she has the same obscure taste in music as me. I'm normally not one to judge other people's musical preferences, but I'm sure her pick-me taste in music is shit.

[–] ashinadash@hexbear.net 10 points 5 days ago (2 children)

At a guess, probably whatever was 'chic' for US gays to listen to in the 90s. Maybe George Michael?

[–] Umechan@hexbear.net 5 points 5 days ago (1 children)

So mainstream pop? Sounds a bit basic.

[–] ashinadash@hexbear.net 3 points 3 days ago

As expected of someone like Brianna Wu, smh my head......

That's still chic. Whitney Houston too!

[–] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 12 points 5 days ago

Oh look, it's the thing that happens when a group who pushes for their own human rights has previously gained ground but is now losing it.

"They used to be good and I used to support them, but now they've gone too far and we need to stop them."

[–] Awoo@hexbear.net 14 points 5 days ago

Sowing division will definitely make a group of marginalised people who had to build an alliance stronger. Surely splitting us all up into smaller groups will better serve our interests.

[–] sangeteria@lemmy.ml 12 points 5 days ago

Obviously the post is dogshit but I do sort of get the distinction. Like I would identify myself as culturally gay bc I keep up w drag race and pop music, go to gay bars n clubs, and I'm a bit of a bathhouse betsy. These activities when all added together really are "men loving men" only type of things.

Nonetheless, politically I'm queer. This has been proven with historical LGBT+ movements, which had solidarity between gender and sexually diverse groups. This was important when pushing for civil rights and during crisis points (i.e. AIDS). I think that other "politically queer" people might be in similar boats (e.g. a bi woman who mainly spends time with other bi women + lesbians, a nonbinary person who mainly spends time with other trans people, etc.)

For any ex-chuds during the 2010s. Anita Sarkeesian is the only internet villain you owe an apology to.

She should kill herself I fear
