His speech was incredible!

Also holy crap Tanille beat out Rob Ashton in the vote count, I'm shocked.

I think she was the strongest candidate but she recieved so little coverage.

I was happy to see Tanille Johnston do well. I was thoroughly impressed with her in the leadership debate and think she has the morale backbone and passion and values to be a strong part of revitalizing the NDP.

I was surprised Ashton did so poorly.

I couldn't believe it. I knew Tony (God bless that man) would come in last, but I was certain Rob would come third behind either McPherson or Lewis.

Tanille beating him out either shows that people were more peeved about the AI thing than I would have expected, that I underestimated Tanille's charm and hard work, or both.

Glad to have had Tanille ranked second on my ballot, but I wasn't expecting her to have had that much momentum. Genuinely proud of her.

As a person who did not follow the NDP and watched the debate from a position of curiosity Tanille Johnston’s message was one of strong positive change.

Similar to Avi Lewis in his acceptance speech, she clearly articulated the full gamut of change that our country needs if we really want peoples’ lives to be better.

For too long “working class” has I think been considered to be another term for people who work in trades or other unionized roles. I am not in that group but the way the world is clearly shaping up, even if you are making a very solid salary but not in a union, you are still part of the “working class”. We are all feeding money into the machine.

I want a government that is making life better for everyone, not protecting the profits of corporations and their owners.

This is what I heard Tanille and Avi say strongly and unapologetically backed by many things they would change.

I think Tenille shone very brightly throughout the race. She's definitely a rising star in the NDP for all the right reasons. I'm so glad she and Avi were sitting together and she was the first on the stage with him.
