Billionaires:

  • Don't pay taxes
  • Never have a real job
  • Don't/Can't play sports
  • Are not artistic or creative
  • Pays people to be with them
  • Have their assistants follow them into the bathroom
[–] Imnecomrade@hexbear.net 26 points 2 weeks ago

They can't even play video games, they are so pathetic.

[–] knfrmity@lemmygrad.ml 71 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I don't think kids should pay taxes or have jobs. Some kids aren't interested in baseball or poetry. Some aren't ready to date, others don't want to. Some need assistance with everyday things. Let kids be kids.

In all seriousness though, this is the same kind of rhetoric which lead the Nazis to categorizing neurodivergent people as Untermenschen and killing us.

Looking at Canada suggesting euthanasia to anyone with a minimal problem, this rethoric is probably not a coincidence

A system's function is what it does

anglo-burn: “Here in angloland. We celebrate our culture of hard work!”

Also anglo-burn: “Finding room for the suboptimals? But that’s too Haaaaaaaaaard!”

[–] knfrmity@lemmygrad.ml 9 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Canada has delayed expanding the euthanasia program to people with mental illness until they can come up with a satisfactory definition for mental illness. It should happen in about two years. At that point I imagine applications will skyrocket, because mental health care in Canada is basically non existent.

Until then, you can apply if you're terminally ill, chronically suffering, or just poor. In fact poor people suffering from disability are often pushed into applying.

Currently, someone can request MAID if their death is "reasonably foreseeable" under what's known as Track 1, or if they suffer from a "grievous and irremediable condition," Track 2.

[–] CupcakeOfSpice@hexbear.net 7 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Allowing assisted euthanasia? Sure. Pushing people towards it? How is this not considered outright murder? Or attempted murder?

[–] knfrmity@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 2 weeks ago

I have no idea. Even threats are illegal in Canada.

[–] RNAi@hexbear.net 5 points 2 weeks ago

Good lord someone stop that shit for fuck sakes

[–] kristina@hexbear.net 69 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

[–] Infamousblt@hexbear.net 61 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

He also apparently thinks dead kids can do these things instead. Remarkable brain on this guy

[–] ProfessorOwl_PhD@hexbear.net 25 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

No, that's just Dirt_Owl's thing.
Oh god, you haven't been using dirty as a role model, have you?

I'm so sorry, someone was meant to tell you during orientation - we trained them wrong, as a joke.

[–] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 68 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Never hold a job.

“They’re not contributing to society….and that’s why we have to double down on our refusal to hire them and completely exclude them from society!”

Smooth move, dipshit.

This is going to end with the definition of autism being changed to… whatever this is so they can say they got rid of all the autism huh

Edit: wait that’s too optimistic they’re going to say they ended autism by ending autistic people huh

[–] Posadas@hexbear.net 47 points 2 weeks ago

The concentration camps will be offshored to save on labor costs.

[–] marxisthayaca@hexbear.net 50 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

what the fuck is he going on about? That's not what autism is.

[–] Imnecomrade@hexbear.net 40 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

When I was very young, I had therapists tell my parents that I would never be able to take care of myself and the only emotions I would ever experience is sadness and anger. I guess this brainworm is fitting for the ableist healthcare industry.

[–] qaopjlll@hexbear.net 20 points 2 weeks ago

To be fair, sadness and anger are probably the only two emotions that any person has ever experienced while interacting with that therapist.

[–] anarchoilluminati@hexbear.net 40 points 2 weeks ago

Autism gives you tax-exempt status?

I swear to God, I have the worst accountant. I'm claiming this next year.

[–] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 37 points 2 weeks ago

I am literally the best poet any of my friends know and I basically never write poetry. Sounds like a worm issue

[–] Sulv@hexbear.net 36 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Does he think autistic people are like, in a coma? Wtf?

[–] WoodScientist@hexbear.net 43 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

It sounds like he's confusing autism with cerebral palsy or severe Down syndrome.

[–] Shaleesh@hexbear.net 27 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

He very well may be. This is anecdotal but I've noticed that some people use autism as a shorthand for other disabilities, particularly if they aren't close with the individual in question. I have no idea how widespread this is but it creeps me out a little every time I notice it happening.

[–] WoodScientist@hexbear.net 22 points 2 weeks ago

Yup. "Autism" is simply the new "Untermensch."

[–] TheModerateTankie@hexbear.net 19 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Like most people of his generation, he learned everything he knows about autism by watching Rain Man.

[–] axont@hexbear.net 11 points 2 weeks ago

Rain Man had a job (I consider counting cards to be labor)

[–] boiledfrog@hexbear.net 36 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)
[–] CupcakeOfSpice@hexbear.net 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Seriously, I try to believe that no one is beyond redemption, and that the death of an individual, caused by others or just happens to happen, should not be the optimal solution. But this man frequently makes me question these beliefs.

[–] boiledfrog@hexbear.net 3 points 1 week ago

I share that sentiment but lately I just feel like so many of these ghouls are just evil through and through and idk, I feel like they're ill but they will never accept any help and will always do everything they can to keep positions of power, they will even bring back measles ffs.

[–] Jenniferrr@hexbear.net 33 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

I literally know autistic people who have done all of these besides baseball because baseball is a stupid wretched sport

[–] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 25 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

As an autistic person, I think so much of its symptoms can be mitigated simply by just…including us in things anyways and ignoring our “bad vibes” or whatever.

EDIT: I did not like the wording before so I made sure my comment was as clear as possible with no bad implications.

[–] GalaxyBrain@hexbear.net 18 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Out of all mainstream sports, baseball is easily thr most autism coded. Baseball guys love stats

[–] FourteenEyes@hexbear.net 6 points 2 weeks ago

"These children will never bungee cord a severed whale's head to the family car and poke holes in grocery bags to make impromptu masks to shield against whale cadaverine splattering all over the kids"

[–] AssortedBiscuits@hexbear.net 24 points 2 weeks ago

Eugenicist piece of shit.

[–] Future_Honkey@hexbear.net 23 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

[–] FourteenEyes@hexbear.net 10 points 2 weeks ago

[–] RION@hexbear.net 23 points 2 weeks ago

Anything but the taxes!

[–] RNAi@hexbear.net 16 points 2 weeks ago

The first two sentences have big Aktion T4 vibes

[–] FeelThePower@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 2 weeks ago

I don't pay taxes anyways. not because I'm evading them, but because I make so little that I don't qualify for taxation.

[–] AOCapitulator@hexbear.net 6 points 2 weeks ago

[–] Redderthanmisty@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I'm Autistic, and I've probably paid more taxes than him. It may not be much, but it's definitely more than his billionaire buddies have.
