Shamelessly posting this in CTH cause it gets more traction than c/music. If you like Windhand or Boris youll like this. Also yeah i know ive sent it to a ton of you already, but now its for realsies!

My favorite track is track 2. Track 3 is sick too but we dont play it live often.

Gonna go eat some tacos then rock this album release show at one of the nicest venues in the city lea-finger-guns

Appreciate you listening! This is actually like the 3rd time we recorded a lot of these songs. Band lineup and arrangements changed over the years, and one idea morphed into the other thing, etc etc

Sick, here I thought I wasn't going to like it since metal really isn't my thing but the vibes I'm getting off it are good! You have a nice future ahead of you keeping this up, shit I'd totally be down to play a game that has this as an ost.

[–] corgiwithalaptop@hexbear.net 6 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Ive scored a film before, but not a game! Thanks for listening!

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 2 points 9 months ago

been listening while reading, for some reason i listen to your band and some dark synthwave stuff when reading dystopian fiction lol.

whatever guitar effect yall do on the first song almost sounds like creepy sub-vocalizations as the song wound down caught me off guard i loved it

[–] corgiwithalaptop@hexbear.net 3 points 9 months ago (1 children)

It actually is vocal tracks!

[–] Des@hexbear.net 3 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Wow, purple swirl vinyl you say. Without thinking about it too much, Flood by Boris is a top 30 album of all time probably.

[–] corgiwithalaptop@hexbear.net 3 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Flood is top tier. Love that goddamn record.

[–] Darthsenio_Mall@hexbear.net 3 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (1 children)

Tangential, but you ever check out Giraffes? Giraffes!? I was big into their first couple albums around the time i discovered Flood, so they always go hand-in-hand despite not having much at all in common aside from being instrumental and somewhat long-form.

[–] corgiwithalaptop@hexbear.net 3 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I think I did like....a long long time ago. Wanna say 20 years ago. Are they that old?

[–] Darthsenio_Mall@hexbear.net 2 points 9 months ago

2007 so getting there, damn

[–] KuroXppi@hexbear.net 1 points 9 months ago
[–] eastbeast@hexbear.net 1 points 9 months ago

Me thinks you'd like this band then https://youtu.be/8qlddnihFwM

Hope the party goes well

[–] corgiwithalaptop@hexbear.net 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Beast in the field is fucking great! Sadly I found them years ago JUST as they called it quits

[–] MineDayOff@hexbear.net 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Aw fug, I didn't know they retired. They came to my town a few times at a bar/venue I was working at. You know how it is you always hang out the dive bar you work at because you are basically VIP. Shit went so hard. I even got to do the whole satanic baptizing thing they do at the end of their set. Everyone lined up for it. It was great. The guitarist just solo jams fuzz on their wall of amps. You walk up to the line, the drummer takes you by the shoulders, whispers some stuff in your ear, then when you "accept" puts you underneath the amp and presses your forehead into the structure so the vibrations from the fuzz are rattling your frontal lobe. It's crazy.

[–] corgiwithalaptop@hexbear.net 2 points 9 months ago

Hell yeah thats fuckin sick
