Did the per capita rates drop, or just the total numbers? This makes a big difference, IMO.

Per capita as well but it varies by region, there is an interactive graph on the article

Whoa. Forget the year-to-year changes, what the actual fuck is up with BC, Alberta, and Yukon? 10x more deaths per capita vs a province like Quebec? Their numbers are so high that they completely skew the national average.

This is awful. 😟
