It's a fucking complicated situation and the people in charge of both sides are assholes. Netanyahu is an asshat and Hamas are giant asshats.

It's even more complicated than that. Netanyahu and Hamas are both just players in this. The actual war is the US with allies vs Iran. It's just happening in Israel.

Would they? I doubt it. The money and weapons for Hamas aren't coming from inside Gaza. They can't be stupid enough to think it is, Gaza is poor as fuck.

Nah, the US isn't puppet mastering this one unless Netanyahu is a secret plant (which is far too tinfoil hatty for me). If you look at his historic decisions this 100% tracks for that asshat.

On the Hamas side... eh? It's either Hamas being asshats just 'cause or Hamas being asshats because of Iranian pressure. Either way they're fucking asshats. And, to give credence to your point, handing a rocket launcher to a maniac "just 'cause" is absolutely in character for Iran - just look at Yemen or Syria.

The US has been sending literally billions of dollars every single year to Israel for multiple decades and you think they aren't puppet mastering this one? It's not strictly the US, but without US and western support Israel would have lost this war a long time ago.

Iran does throw a lot of money and weapons at Hamas, but only because that has the effect of harming Israel, not because they give a shit about Palestinians. Just imagine how much good could have been done if Iran instead helped develop infrastructure and invested in the Palestinian economy instead.

Obama absolutely despised Netanyahu and didn't really try to hide it. He's very much Israel's beast to claim.

There is no real way to invest into Gaza's economy tho. It is under embargo, and everything that used to go in, went in through Israel. Israel checked everything for possible military applications. So no concrete, no wood. No plastics / 3d printing filament even. Want a new type of velcro, that has hook and loop on the same side, and sticks to itself? Apparently it's a weapon of mass destruction, since you can't get it in.

It's not checking it for weapons, it's banning most items because you can maybe use it as a weapon. You can't get 95% of the things in.
