For anyone seeing this in greater, lemmy, I am making fun of this because it is including people like Hasan Piker, Cori Bush, and Greta Thunberg as antisemites which is ridiculous. I'm only somewhat aware of Bassem Youssef and don't think he is an antisemite either and I don't know who Jess Natale is (I also didn't know who John Cusack was and looked him up and he is not an antisemite either). Obviously people like Candace Owens and Jackson Hinkle are antisemitic, but if you are gonna cheapen the word by including Greta Thunberg as an antisemite you deserve to be clowned on.

At least in so far as Hasan, Cori, and Greta. Also not too familiar with all of Youssef's takes, but I would also think he's not actually antisemetic from what I've heard from him. Jess Natale seems to be someone on instagram that's a Bernie Sander supporter and has progressive (I know, doesn't really mean much) politics from what I could find through a quick search and article about her.

Dan Bilzerian:

Bilzerian has generated controversy for a series of statements against Jews and Judaism as early as 2010. He has gone on record to say that the Jewish people perpetrated the Holodomor in Soviet Ukraine, assassinated John F. Kennedy in 1963 and Muammar Gaddafi in 2011, created the "transgender nonsense," and orchestrated the September 11 attacks and the Iraq War, among other assertions and antisemitic conspiracy theories. He also stated that Nazi Germany "flourished" when "Hitler removed Jews from the banking system" and that Spain's golden age began because it expelled the Jews at the end of the Reconquista in 1492.

In a 2024 interview with Piers Morgan, Bilzerian claimed that Judaism "promotes supremacy andremoved, and steals from other people as long as they're not Jewish" and that "most of the problems today are caused by Jewish supremacy." He invoked the term "antisemitism" as a misnomer, stating that the Palestinian people "are the real semites." He also stated that all Israeli Jews are "Eastern European Ashkenazi Jews" and "don't have actual Hebrew DNA." Bilzerian further claimed that Jews "control the media" and promoted Holocaust denialism, saying that "I would bet my entire net worth that it was less than six million." Bilzerian followed up on this claim about the Holocaust by stating that Jews "killed more Christians than six million" and that "they've basically invented genocide."

I read some information about John F. Kennedy possibly getting assassinated because AIPAC reasons.

There are also interviews with 'israelis' where they themselves say that they are a superior race, and non-Jews should be serving them.

I don't know anything about this guy but I hate how we can't talk about the real ethnic / racial supremacy problems that are so blatantly said by 'israelis' because it's used as a dog whistle to say the most antisemitic shit after.

This guy is so keen to lump all Jewish people into a single group and probably doesn't realize how many people he interacts with on the daily are Jewish.

It reminds me of a story my girlfriend's dad told me about how when he was in college ~50 years ago, he had an antisemitic roommate who swore he could tell if someone was Jewish just by looking at them. The entire year his roommate never knew he was sleeping 5 feet away from one.

No, you're wrong, taking racist and chauvanistic attitudes towards any race or group of people is always unacceptable. We oppose "Israel" for it's settler-colonialism, but it's not a statement on Jews or Judaism, it's a statement on western imperialism. Never give actual antisemites like this any ground whatsoever, it's unacceptable and is exactly what the settler colonial entity wants.

Why can't we discuss ethnic supremacy, used by many 'israelis', even Benjamin Netanyahu who stated "we are the light, they are the dark"

Or the many videos of IOF soldiers bombing homes, schools, and hospitals, chanting "Amalek."

You can say this is the fault of imperialism, and you would be correct. But there are people in 'israel', and not a small minority, who truly believe they are a supreme race. I feel it would be disingenuous not to recognize that as a fact.

Again I am not trying to state arguments, I don't even believe zionism has any real merit to Judaism. The founder of the modern Zionism and the visionary of the Jewish State spoke neither Hebrew or Yiddish, had no Jewish education, and was so thoroughly secular as to appear, in fin-de-siècle Paris and Vienna, the very image of a dashing boulevardier.. Herzl himself didn't practice the religion.

This is coming from a person whose grandparents became refugees in 1948, and still has family in the West Bank. I've been there myself and have seen how my people are treated like animals by ethnic supremacy. I really don't see why it would be harmful to point it out.

I can talk more about my experiences visiting my cousins who had a settlement next to their village if you want.

Yes, it's true that these are the crimes of Zionists, but Dan Bilzerian is clearly not critical of Zionism here for being Zionism. He's being racist against Jews, the majority of which globally do not reside in the Zionist entity. Supremacist views by any race are abbhorrent and lead to the crimes like those of Zionism.

This is not a defense of the Jewish-Supremacists, but instead to say that using the existence of Zionism to say that the antisemites have a point is wrong.

The first reason I hate Israel is genocide. The distant second is that their actions spread antisemitism and hurt every Jew in the diaspora. i definitely wouldn't characterise Bassem Youssef as an anti-semite, but he does feed the 'tail wagging the dog' narrative with regard to US-Israel relations - "Israel has corrupted the moral conscience of America", "It's all AIPAC" type of thing. More of an incomplete/unreconstructed anti-Zionism than anything else, I don't think he holds [racial/ethno-religious/whatever] animus towards Jewish people
