It sure sucks that the kid in PA was such a shit shot.
Sucked MUCH more to hear the entire democratic party wring their hands and come out immediately with statements about how "political violence is unacceptable under any circumstances."
I'm still not convinced it wasn't faked
The bullet missed. The injury to his ear was from the secret service agent slamming against his head as he ducked down. Replay footage of the event confirmed.
But I doubt it was staged. It was a real assassination attempt. Maybe the next one will go better. Thoughts and prayers.
The blood might also have come from scraping the back of his hand against the agent's pistol when he first ducked down. Either way, superficial injury and the bullet was likely way off based on the angles.
You see that video of someone on Trump's staff ushering in photographers to get a better shot less than 5 seconds after Trump was "hit"?
Crazy that in that moment of totally unprepared chaos, his first thought wasn't personal safety, or safety for the president, but rather moving journalists into an exposed area in an active shooter zone for a better angle of Trump posing.
Crazy how we still know almost nothing about the shooter, nor is anyone really calling to find out.
Crazy how the Secret Service watched the shooter crawl across the roof, while people in the crowd shouted and pointed at him, but didn't take any kind of shot until after he opened fire.
Now, was it a real assassination attempt? Yea, probably. But there's enough weird stuff that I can see why people question it.

I don't think that's how that happened. It was local PD that was informed. There was a fuck up in their communication with the SS.

We know enough that neither side can use him as a political tool, so people care less.

I'd laugh, if this was a jest. But I remember reading it was a firefighter. Even if they were diet fascist, the loss of innocent life is heartbreaking.

Insulting that we have always taken care of our neighbors, giving them our tax dollars in hurricanes, and our hospitals during the pandemic, but now they feel that they don't need to return the favor. We're all Americans. Will you really abandon us that quickly?
