Today its his Birthday juche-WPK

The cause of Juche, pioneered and led by President Kim Il Sung and General Kim Jong Il, are being carried forward by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

Kim Jong Un is possessed of unbounded loyalty to the revolutionary cause of Juche, outstanding leadership ability, matchless courage and pluck, and popular traits. Thanks to his ennobling loyalty and moral obligation, a new phase was opened up in implementing the cause of immortalizing the leader.

Accordingly, the beaming image of General Kim Jong Il has been implanted in the minds of the people and the sacred history of his revolutionary activities continues without let-up. Through his energetic ideological and theoretical activities, Kim Jong Un formulated the great leaders’ revolutionary ideology as Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, and he is leading the Korean people to march straight ahead along the road of independence, the road of Songun and the road of socialism.

A perfect statesman of the present era, he accompanied General Kim Jong Il on the road of the Songun-based leadership, working with devotion for the development of the Party, the country and the army. Upon being appointed as Supreme Commander of the Korean People’s Army, he has inspected one army unit after another, which is giving a powerful impetus to the enhancement of the country’s defence capability and the victorious advance of the cause of socialism.

In March 2013, when the situation on the Korean peninsula was growing acute owing to the uninterrupted war moves by the US, a plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea was held. At this meeting he advanced a new strategic line of simultaneously conducting economic construction and building up the nuclear forces.

In accordance with this line, he led the cause of building the country’s nuclear forces to victory, thus increasing the strength of socialist Korea to the highest level and developing the country into the Juche-oriented nuclear power.

By adhering to the principle of self-reliance and self-development the Korean people have built monumental edifices for their well-being and raised fierce flames of the industrial revolution in the new century, pushing back the frontiers of science and technology. They have achieved one eye-opening success after another in the fields of science, education, literature and the arts, and sports, bringing about an epochal turn in building a knowledge-based economy and a civilized socialist power.

Cherishing the life-long motto of the great leaders who believed in people as in heaven, Kim Jong Un administers politics of prioritizing the interests of the people and respecting and loving them in order to translate their beautiful dreams and ideals into reality. He shows paternal affection for and trust in the people to rally the service personnel and other people firmly around the Party.

The traditional single hearted unity of the country has been consolidated on the basis of his ennobling view of comrades and comrades-in-arms. All the people share the same destiny with their leader, advancing the revolution arm in arm and shoulder to shoulder with him. Thanks to his unshakeable determination to reunify the country, the national reunification movement is making rapid progress. He has thwarted the imperialists’ war moves and rendered an outstanding contribution to ensuring global peace and stability and promoting the cause of independence for mankind, thereby winning international recognition as the great guardian of justice.

In reflection of the people’s unanimous will and desire he was elected Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, and he was awarded the title of Marshal of the DPRK.

Pointing out right-wing hypocrisy is pointless because the right knows they're full of shit and they don't care. They've never cared about being correct or moral. They only care about winning. You can point out their inconsistencies and lies until you're blue in the face and their response will be "yeah well, you care about that stuff and you lost. Cry some more."

They. Don't. Care.

I'll be 7 months sober tomorrow, that's crazy. I went from being a daily drinker for 15 years to not having a drop of alcohol in over half a year. I tried quitting so many times over the past couple of years, but I'm actually doing it now. I remember how hard the first few days were, where I was trying to bargain with myself about one drink not being a deal breaker - and now the thought of drinking doesn't sound appealing at all.

Kinda crazy the US population has all these small arms supposedly to resist the government and then nobody actually resists the government even slightly.

Got a little awkward at work coffe hour when someone read "cafe zapatista", pulled up the Wikipedia page on EZLN, and said they were terrorists. I think I deftly dispelled that but I did sweat a bit lol.

Euro libs! maddened

That guy left pretty quick and by the end everyone agreed it tasted great and someone said the secret ingredient is freedom bloomer

Also someone said that me talking to them about ICE had helped open their eyes a bit

Seems I accidentally bullied a Eurolib imperialism apologist off the site. I genuinely wanted them to learn, but I guess one fewer fash on Lemmy is a nice consolation prize. They came to Lemmy because Reddit is "too left," lol.

Libs when Russians: "How DARE they not risk their life, sacrifice their friends and family, and destroy their country, CONSEQUENCES BE DAMNED, to stop Putler's war against Ukraine!!! Actually, they all probably voted for Putin, so we should just commit mass murder against them!" maddened

Libs when any Angloid nation does a fascism: "You can't expect ME to stop MY government from killing and massacring minorities. We don't want to face the consequences and give the authorities excuse to shoot us. What's that? They're already shooting innocent people? Well, they're probably far-left extremist agitators who deserved it! Besides, it's the dirty brown IMMIGRANTS who are the REAL problem!" angery

Some things you learn while in socialist circles truly feel like a burden on the psyche.

The fact that something like Operation Gladio has been so thoroughly obscured from public knowledge makes anyone who attempts to bring it up in conversation look exactly like the stereotype of a "delusional communist".

"Yes, of course, you commies can only blame big bad U.S. for the failure of your trash ideology, listen to yourself, how can you say that NATO armed secret armies to crush communism in every country west of your beloved Iron Curtain while even giving them backpack nuclear weapons, that sounds like the fantasy of a conspiracy theorist."

I wonder what would it take for Gladio to become public knowledge, I believe it's knowledge of such incendiary potency it could probably be brought to light by European governments in the event of a total collapse of NATO and U.S.-Europe relations.

Partner asked if we should get a gun because "if someone is going to drag me out of the car or shoot my windshield, I'd rather shoot them back". On one hand, based. On the other, the fact they even asked in reaponse to recent events means we're cooked.

Friend sent me an "anti-AI" video by some obviously right-wing YouTuber called The Second Story which is riddled with anti-communist talking points, which I guess he didn't pick up on because she does the usual "I hate corporations" thing. The video is actually more about conflating whole-language learning and critical pedagogy like Paulo Freire. Also has magical human supremacy as their main argument against LLMs rather than looking into if they're actually capable of doing things in the first place. The video takes it as a given that AI is actually doing things and it's main solution is a bunch of individualist, moral questions about why it's bad for you to use them rather than understanding they don't work in the first place. Also doesn't mention the electricity usage at all.

This is what's out there for people who want an alternative, a bunch of fucking "the curtains were blue" grifters blocking off all the ideological exits.

Walked into the local hydroponics shop on a whim yesterday, and it was an immediate oasis. A jungle of plants all around on every shelf, massive attack was playing, and the guy at the counter and I had a 20 minute conversation about growing mushrooms. Dude has a great job. Also it's crazy how well a wall of plants deadens street noise

"our only hope now is for the authorities to arrest and prosecute [Jonathan Ross]"

What the actual fuck is wrong with people? "The authorities are executing people in the streets, I sure hope the authorities stop them." How? How does someone think like this? Is there no line to cross that will ACTUALLY make the libs angry?

Other than incivility, that is.

Real talk, why don’t we talk more about the consequences of juries in a post truth world? What a reasonable person thinks be damned when you are living in a different world, yet we’re all still holding on to an irreparable justice system

"Winning at life." and its variations are so gross. You don't get to decide for me what I want out of life. You don't get to shame people for not living up to your ideals of success.

Wild is I see even grown ass leftists talk like you aren't a valid human being unless you want the 1.5 children and the white fence. Because really the sentiment boils down to "How well are you functioning to the standards of our current society? Are you a loser or a winner(tm)?"

Thinly veiled ableism wrapped in neoliberal conformity.

The death of another will never warm my soul.

But sometimes I think one nuclear detonation for every single square kilometer of the United States would not be enough.

It's depressing, no one was born a fascist, no one was born as an enemy of humanity, every American is just as human as me. The U.S. might be the biggest ongoing tragedy in the history of the world, a society that can corrupt almost anyone born into it to be the lowest that humanity has to offer. A system so intricate and efficient at corrupting minds and inoculating them against human decency one can hardly accept that it wasn't explicitly designed for that purpose. It became that way through pure mutation and material conditions, it's a cancer upon the world that happened to grow in the spot where it couldn't be stopped.

And now that system is on track to live beyond 250 years. What will finally kill the United States? No army can reach it, so something from within must kill it. Domestic tensions are mounting at the moment but every time that happened in the past Democrats step in as a pressure release valve and keep the project going for another 20 years.
