The government's the one literally invading and overthrowing the planet but somehow we're the ones under siege

The Romans were trash people but at least they didn't invade and brutalize other nations while crying about how they were victims; they recognized they were an invasive species and took it as a source of pride; also I say Romans but Genghis Khan's Mongols would be a closer analogy

The Romans were trash people but at least they didn't invade and brutalize other nations while crying about how they were victims;

I've got some bad news for you about Roman propaganda about their enemies. Their wars of conquest were always "defensive" and they "had no choice" but to conquer in "self defence" or to "save the children" of their enemies.

Comrade Spartacus would have loved Hexbear.

[–] EstraDoll@hexbear.net 26 points 3 weeks ago

This is true. I am Spartacus and I love Hexbear

The immigrant woman making $7.25 an hour making rooms at the motel 6 is literally the reason why I'm unhappy.

[–] ourtimewillcome@hexbear.net 34 points 3 weeks ago

I mean, it does indeed make me very unhappy to see some poor women get exploited to such a degree, that all she makes is $7.25 an hour.

But I guess reactionaries dont have a problem with that part of the whole situation...

The fascism brochure brought to you by AI art slop trained on Madison Ave magazine ads from 65 years ago.

Think of a beach, what would make that beach better? A car parked on it, of course!

[–] microfiche@hexbear.net 15 points 3 weeks ago

That's what you focused on?

Wow. That makes it even weirder. What has happening in Japan in 1947?

spoilerhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occupation_of_Japan

[–] novibe@lemmy.ml 4 points 3 weeks ago

He was born in 1947 though. I don’t think someone who made a painting in 47 would still be alive.

hitler-detector woah this thing is off the charts

The Romans were trash people but at least they didn't invade and brutalize other nations while crying about how they were victims

wanna bet

[–] huf@hexbear.net 20 points 3 weeks ago

IIRC romans basically never fought an aggressive war, by the simple trick of lying and calling them defensive wars.

amerikkka after 100 million deportations is an AI pastiche of a 1950's cookie-cutter muscle car with a tsunami crashing into it under a veneer of hawaiian colonialist fantasy aesthetic? i couldn't agree more.

[–] d_cagno@hexbear.net 19 points 3 weeks ago

Maybe not to your taste, but they stole this one directly from an artist without even laundering it through AI.

Losing an entire quarter of the labour power of an entire country will surely not have any repercussions.

[–] evol@lemmy.today 4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Will be replaced with robots teleoperated from the 3rd world. Now you don't even need to have your slaves in the same continent as you! Technology is truly amazing

[–] Awoo@hexbear.net 5 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

If the robots are made in america i expect them to be shit and not work most of the time, going by Musk's examples.

[–] Grapho@lemmy.ml 2 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

They'd also cost four million and require 500k maintenance per quarter from a company which will jack up the price every other year

(Kimi Badenoch?) in the UK to help with immigrants and refugees taking jobs that locals could've taken wanted to get rid of as many, if not all of them, as she could even in the care homes; the response? There's a SHORTAGE of workers in care homes; her response to that? She said people may hurt a little but that this was more important.

A British guy I work with said his wife used to manage some care homes and the majority of care workers are non-white and/or mostly immigrants and refugees; the vast majority of white people don't want to work that job; you expel all non-white immigrants and refugees and the care home situation collapses.

[–] NeelixBiederman@hexbear.net 3 points 3 weeks ago

The hardest working quarter usually doing the most menial jobs, too

[–] balsoft@lemmy.ml 39 points 3 weeks ago

This really does remind me of nazi anti-jew propaganda from the 30s. Stupid, soulless slop, blatantly inhumane, but effective for the right audience.

Fuck this is depressing. Hope y'all over there make it through whatever your vile government is planning, alive and well.

[–] Guamer@hexbear.net 39 points 3 weeks ago

Hate how the immigrants took all the beachs

[–] agentant@hexbear.net 37 points 3 weeks ago

Hitlerite Twitter post. Hitlerite Organization. Hitlerite Reich.

A desolate beach without a single soul in sight?

[–] Torenico@hexbear.net 19 points 3 weeks ago

Also a tsunami is about to swallow the US (good)

[–] chirospasm@lemmy.ml 15 points 3 weeks ago

What I was thinking on first look

[–] dkr567@hexbear.net 29 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

Just the shit hole empire that inspired the nazi's racial law things.

[–] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 27 points 3 weeks ago

“The lion shall no longer be preyed upon by the lamb.”

Uhhh I think you got victim and perp mixed up, bro.

And the third world continues their worship because their favorite streamer, Pussysmasher6769, shows them the REAL America that’s just like my YouTube videos.

[–] FlakesBongler@hexbear.net 25 points 3 weeks ago

I will live to see these people burn

[–] PKMKII@hexbear.net 25 points 3 weeks ago

The Romans also pretty much immediately considered the people they conquered to be part of their empire, albeit at a lower level than ethnic romans.

[–] chgxvjh@hexbear.net 25 points 3 weeks ago

God's wrath washing away the evil doers?

[–] Assian_Candor@hexbear.net 25 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

This shit sucks, I fucking hate it here

[–] tactical_trans_karen@hexbear.net 24 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

So... They're saying they literally want almost a third of the population removed...

[–] nfreak@lemmy.ml 19 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (1 children)

If I recall, 100 million is almost the exact number of people in this country who aren't white. It's a very intentional dogwhistle (or more of a foghorn).

Holy fuck...

[–] BanMeFromPosting@hexbear.net 21 points 3 weeks ago

The Romans were trash people but at least they didn't invade and brutalize other nations while crying about how they were victims;

According to Roman tradition they never fought an offensive war. It's crybullies all the way down

[–] mathemachristian@hexbear.net 21 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)
