parenti

If they show the content, they’re doing it to rip off the poor Hollywood producers.

If they don’t show the content, they are blocking free speech and shamefully blocking the Good News of the free world

"The revolution that gives paywalled Hollywood stories to the children has my support."

They better not be giving Game of Thrones to the children.

Unironically, National Streaming Service would be such a smart electoral pitch for a socialist party

[–] TheVelvetGentleman@hexbear.net 31 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Fuck out of here with another streaming service. Give me the Great National Jellyfin Server.

Torrents are already good there, we'd just allocate some money for some government servers to help seed popular content with fast upload speeds.

Since this is a reddit post, I can't tell if this is supposed to be a "fuck yeah Cuba!" or fearmongering about how they have "no respect for the rules!"

Normally I'd say the latter, but piracy is something shockingly many on that hellsite seem to have a good take on.

movie and music piracy is universally accepted

cringe: cuban tv shows hollywood movies

based: they dont pay for them

[–] Redcuban1959@hexbear.net 8 points 1 day ago

No entirely true, pretty sure they pay the rights holders from places like Mexico, to show the dubbed version. Now, it is true that in the past Cuba made their own dubs (including a Castle Cagliostro one) and never bother to pay anything to the rights holders, same thing happened in the DPRK.

[–] Belly_Beanis@hexbear.net 14 points 1 day ago

I remember watching adult swim in Santa Clara and hearing the audio normally and the video at around 1 frame a second. It was hilarious.
