So I'm back with another CYOA (choose your own adventure). This time it's about pills. Not red or blue pills, but special either way.
It's simple: you get to choose either 2 pills or just 1 pill. If you choose just 1 pill you also get the bonus effect.

Take the skill mastery pill AND the game pill. (I'm bad at computer stuff like that)
The easiest way to cheat is to develop a Twine VN where a pill has all of these abilities and use the game pill to bring that super pill into real life.
Even without that, the game pill is super OP since you can bring a game object once every 7 weeks. Just going off of games I've played before.
You can instantly restore your health through consumables.
You can be underwater without drowning.
You can teleport other people and teleport yourself.
You can charm people.
You can enslave animals using spherical orbs.
You can massively boost your attributes by eating food.
You can use telekinesis.
You can become invisible.
You can instantly put people to sleep or wake them up.
You can see perfectly at night.
You can change your body to match the gender you want.
You can resurrect people from the dead.
You can be resurrected from the dead with your health completely restored.
You can stop time.
You can fly and shoot fireballs.
You can touch fire or lava without being hurt.
You can carry around a near infinite number of items with you.
You can open every locked door.
The pills were poorly thought out lol
I didnt make this but I agree that most CYOA stuff usually has poor internal balance.
they control for the opness with that 'handheld' qualification, many game abilities/mechanics are not bound up into single game objects as such.
but maybe the right game might have a necklace that does some or many of the things your talking abt, idk im not a gamer encyclopedia

Wilds Pill so dogs and/or other animals don't kill me when I'm a cat.

creature pill comes in a close second with it's bonus completely due to the fact you get to bioengineer possibly the perfect organism or bioengineer an organism that can take traits from other existing organisms by consuming them. In otherwords, Tyranids but earthbound.
If we exclude the broken pills and look at whats left, I think I'd choose the focus pill with its bonus to become the perfect communist revolutionary and spend the rest of my life calling everyone else liberals for I have become the one true communist! Also just having an easier time learning new stuff and having a better memory is just nice in general, hopefully it also counters any kind of neurodegenerative diseases because those really fucking suck.

I like the idea of being a turbo smarty pants who knows all of the things but I can't think of one skill I really want to master right now, unless that skill is changing my voice to extreme ends at will with the Mimic Pill. I feel like that combo could pull off some real heist movie shit

Oh man, I'm so torn. I kinda wanna take Wilds and just fucking live out there away from all human bs. Yeah, fuck it. I'm not optimizing anything - Imma go live out in the woods and chill with Grizzlies.
You should think of adding a drawback section, btw. (no, I'm not just saying this because I will gladly give up speech, limbs, dreams, and everything else to pick up another pill). Maybe an "on theme" one can be an "drawback pill" section where, for eg, taking the "anti-jumper pill" makes you extra-prone to fall damage. Or just super-weak and easy to bruise.

Same here. As a cherry on top the extra 8+ hours a night would also probably triple my free time.
You essentially live an extra 1/3rd of your life. Best pill on here by far. Love that I still have the ability to sleep because I love naps

i'm sure you could make a shittonne of money by making and selling portal guns, or using something else to make a fortune or become a supervillian... but god could you imagine actually getting the right amount of sleep

Game pill only and then I would pull out the potion of gender swapping from Fable III and once a week, after I use the first dose on myself, I would open a gender clinic that takes one client at a time per week.

Either nocturnal pill: Not needing to sleep is pretty insane.
Or Rift + Spy pill, if I know when I'm being watched then I can ensure my teleport power stays secret, and I could be the ultimate bank heister.
