I will never ever let libs forget that they used to love this guy

[–] Rod_Blagojevic@hexbear.net 56 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Don't let them forget that they loved JD Vance too. When he made a name for himself by shitting on rural, poor people a lot of libs thought he was one of their own.

[–] CTHlurker@hexbear.net 4 points 2 months ago

To defend the redditors slightly (eww), J.D. Vance first made his name as a resistance lib who seemed like their perfect idea of a "moderate" republican. He was shitting on poor people in kentucky with his Hillbilly Elegy book / movie and I sort of remember him being on American TV and talking about how the people of appalachia had failed to adapt to the post-industrial world and instead turned to drugs, which was fucking catnip to liberals back in 2017. His turn came when he ran for senate in Ohio and had to beg and plead with Trump for an endorsement, before he ultimately won the republican primary and then the senatorial election.

Personally, I'm just surprised how many people were using time travel to buy a Tesla back in the 70s, I guess the interest rates were a lot lower then.

[–] peeonyou@hexbear.net 44 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

i've seen this on so many teslas.. what virtue are they trying to extol exactly? they're still a moron who bought an over priced piece of shit and likely gun it 60 mph down 25 mph roads because they can

[–] AOCapitulator@hexbear.net 14 points 2 months ago

possibly just hoping someone keys the tesla they parked next to instead of their tesla

[–] Carl@hexbear.net 36 points 2 months ago

I do feel a smidgeon of sympathy for people who bought a Tesla when they were one of the only electric cars around. If I had one I would rebadge it and tell people it's an Audi or something.

[–] Robert_Kennedy_Jr@hexbear.net 30 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Saw a Tesla today that had replaced the logo on the back with some random symbol I didn't recognize.

"It's a symbol of good luck!" :i-am-adolf-hitler:

[–] Lussy@hexbear.net 27 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

As i lay dying, at the hands of a methhead klanner, I think about how the libs could have prevented this if they hadn’t supported EV tax credits in 2019

[–] merthyr1831@lemmy.ml 9 points 2 months ago

redditors going nuts over him crying because buzz Aldrin called him a prick is what put me on the good side tbh

[–] Infamousblt@hexbear.net 59 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Proof that despite what the capitalist would have you believe, the US is clearly not a merit based society

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 39 points 2 months ago (1 children)

That's not true. This is the smartest man in America.

[–] jackmaoist@hexbear.net 33 points 2 months ago

Real world Tony Stark jokerfication

[–] Gowron_Howard@lemm.ee 24 points 2 months ago

More proof that being wealthy doesn’t equate intelligence, cleverness, or business sense.

[–] corgiwithalaptop@hexbear.net 48 points 2 months ago (1 children)

You know he spent a good 20 minutes of the meeting silently agonizing over that joke.

[–] KuroXppi@hexbear.net 5 points 2 months ago

Let that sink in

[–] BadTakesHaver@hexbear.net 38 points 2 months ago (1 children)

oh my god did you see elons hat? he looks so fucking stupid i can't breathe

[–] Leon_Grotsky@hexbear.net 11 points 2 months ago

I even saw two cubes in his pocket; I think he has dice, but he's afraid to show them to anyone.

[–] buckykat@hexbear.net 35 points 2 months ago

He really thinks he's funny

[–] Boynomoder@hexbear.net 35 points 2 months ago

This would be fine if he was just a funny little guy and not a crazy evil reactionary with immense political sway and money that effects all our lives

[–] WeedReference420@hexbear.net 33 points 2 months ago

Terminally unfunny

[–] Riffraffintheroom@hexbear.net 32 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

He reminds me of when I changed medication in high school and forgot how to be funny but kept trying to be funny. You’d think this would make me empathize with him but just makes him even more annoying.

[–] comrade_pibb@hexbear.net 29 points 2 months ago

without any context in a complete vacuum it's actually really funny to just goof off in a very serious meeting

[–] miz@hexbear.net 27 points 2 months ago

smuglord

I hate him so much

[–] TreadOnMe@hexbear.net 26 points 2 months ago

I had to literally double check to see if this was real, dear lord he is five.

[–] Weedian@hexbear.net 26 points 2 months ago (2 children)

im amazed there isnt a hot mic video of trump calling elon a fucking loser

[–] ElChapoDeChapo@hexbear.net 18 points 2 months ago

I think this would happen if Trump was a decade or 2 younger and a bit less senile

[–] stink@lemmygrad.ml 10 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Someone is fucking high.

[–] FlakesBongler@hexbear.net 23 points 2 months ago

Someone's gonna make him eat those hats someday

skull full of tapioca pudding

[–] Alaskaball@hexbear.net 21 points 2 months ago

People actually like tapioca pudding. Id say more packed with glacial silt

[–] dat_math@hexbear.net 21 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

He really did a fucking hat on a hat ...

[–] CptKrkIsClmbngThMntn@hexbear.net 20 points 2 months ago

Wow this man can riff.

[–] Utter_Karate@hexbear.net 18 points 2 months ago

Tulsi Gabbard is visibly aging like she was looking at the portrait of Dorian Gray. And funnily enough, the gods of Olympus have decreed that this, exactly as pictured, is going to be her afterlife.

[–] CTHlurker@hexbear.net 12 points 2 months ago

Genuinely the most cringe person currently alive. It would be funny if he wasn't currently in Government and actively trying to kill every person in the US whom I actually like.

[–] dkr567@hexbear.net 8 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

It would not surprise me if everyone in that regime hates that overpaid loser, like I would love be in a mind of a fly in one of those meetings.

[–] Hotspur@lemmy.ml 6 points 2 months ago

What a fucking child. Tulsi has put in some good work building her x-men character look, and she has to sit next to this twitching loser while she tries to get to the bottom of whether aliens have greenlit us accessing the arc of the covenant.
