There is no other response to anything she says, across her entire lifetime, than linking a picture of her and the Clintons.

The online left thinks its bad when the US kills people, and I'm going to explain why they're wrong

[–] TankieTanuki@hexbear.net 94 points 1 month ago (1 children)

its bad when the US kills people

What are you, RUSSIAN!?

[–] huf@hexbear.net 66 points 1 month ago (2 children)

but then she didnt explain.

[–] Infamousblt@hexbear.net 62 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Her explanation will be "saying it's bad when the US kills people is anti democracy and you should just vote more if you want to stop it"

[–] HuntressHimbo@lemmy.zip 59 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I was feeling like her explanation would be more along the lines of "saying its bad is unpopular, and will lead to electoral losses therefore more bad things." The weight of infinite possible future bad things keeps people from stopping the ones right in front of them all the time

[–] culprit@lemmy.ml 47 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Effective Altruism meets Effective Electorialism. You have to support the future Dem utopia or you will be punished for not helping it gain power.

[–] PKMKII@hexbear.net 36 points 1 month ago

Criticizing Trump now for doing something bad only opens up the possibility of the future Dem getting criticized for continuing to do the bad thing despite chastising Trump for it, ergo not criticizing Trump helps the future Dem get re-elected

Russiagate is quite possibly the liberal establishment's greatest propaganda coup of my lifetime.

[–] InexplicableLunchFiend@hexbear.net 52 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (2 children)

it was in 2017, but only died-in-the-wool true believing libs still fall for it in 2025. It really only limped on because of the SMO in 2022, otherwise it would have completely fizzled out

i think we've all collectively just gotta stop giving these dumb Breadtube fucks the attention they crave. My quality of life is vastly improved anytime I haven't recently thought about any dumbass cracker Breadtuber. This goes for 99% of them and I'll even lump in streamers (Hasan), social media personalities (pick your favorite 'leftist' on twitter or tiktok), and every substack author in with them.

Goes against the spirit of the comm but I prefer my slop to at least be novel and not attention seeking. Place your bets now on when she will inevitably either deactivate her account again within a week or otherwise just double down on whatever dumbass reactionary bullshit she's trying to peddle.

23,958 Paid members on Patreon by the way. Assuming all 24,000 of those paid members is only shelling out $2.00/month for the cheapest membership tier Natalie offers, that's $47,916/month, which is like 8k more than I make a year after taxes. $574k/year. If we assume half of those 24,000 pay $5/month for Contrapoint's 'outtakes' and 'behind the scenes' videos, that's $59,485/month or $718k/year. If you assume the other half of those 24,000 are still cheap bastards paying $2/month, that's still $23,985/month or $287k/year - which means, if we're being realistic - Natalie Wynn probably pulls close to a million dollars a year before taxes for....posting shit takes on twitter occasionally.

She's on my Cask of Amontillado list.

"For the love of God, ABC! Think of the video essay aesthetic that will be lost! Have you seen my video on Voting??"

Proud of her. It used to take her 17 costumes, 4 stage changes and 1.5 hours not to get a point across

[–] ConcreteHalloween@hexbear.net 69 points 1 month ago (4 children)

Her takes have gotten so bad they almost seem like parody. I know she always sucked but now it almost seems like she's intentionally trying to piss anyone to the lefty of Hillary off. I almost sometimes wonder if she's genuinely been compromised or something.

[–] Sneakytrickyyy@hexbear.net 63 points 1 month ago

She's always been like that, there is no "compromising" going on, that would imply she ever stood for anything in the first place, this is just the natural progression of what happens when a liberal can't break their posting addiction shrug-outta-hecks

"God I hate how everything my opponents say is some sort of wild conspiracy theory. Anyhow, they must all be some elaborate network of Russian operatives deployed to deceive me."

[–] Kopfrkingl@hexbear.net 63 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I envy Russian efficiency, they seem to be everywhere causing everything. Where do I learn this power?

[–] axont@hexbear.net 50 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Russia is simultaneously a failed petrolstate that can barely fight against a country with 20% of its GPD but also controls every single ideology on earth except white American ivy league liberals

Everything I don't like is because Russia.

Man the US would be such a good country if Russia didn't send our manufacturing base to China and Putin didn't financialise every single social relation. Wanna know why the US really invaded Iraq? Yup, Russia.

Edit: this is an unironic meme I saw a few days ago

lmao fuckin Qtecks agrees with you, pack it up

who is Gootecks?he's an old fighting game streamer who you probably recognize as the original face of the PogChamp emote. COVID drove him crazy and he became a Qanon freak, and twitch changed the emote after he expressed support for January 6

[–] SoloboiNanook@hexbear.net 42 points 1 month ago

I feel like I have to wonder—is Natalie Wynn truly, organically this stupid

[–] plinky@hexbear.net 36 points 1 month ago (2 children)

don't attribute to stupidity what can be easily explained by malice

Remember when she was like, "I help explain the toxic narratives of the right" and now she is just another toxic narrator

[–] RondoRevolution@hexbear.net 45 points 1 month ago

Hasbarapoints at it again it seems

[–] LeeeroooyJeeenkiiins@hexbear.net 44 points 1 month ago

She shouldn't be surprised the online (western) left is stupid as shit when half of them are brainwashed with her own NATO liberalism

[–] Sneakytrickyyy@hexbear.net 43 points 1 month ago

Oh look it's the bougie liberal again, ready to wax poetic and add nothing of fucking value, remember when people rightuflly bullied her off Twitter? Good times, good times...

[–] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 42 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Wow. You dont really believe that, do you? You do? Wow. That's...certainly an opinion. How interesting. That just says everything we need to know about you, doesn't it?

It's quite a trade to make enough money and develop a fan base that will make sure you never have to do actual work again in your life, but you have to completely nuke your brain with twitter microwaves so you are incapable of enjoying your completely easy life

[–] SexUnderSocialism@hexbear.net 38 points 1 month ago

Even if Contrapoints is right that Maduro is the most evil man in the world. I'm tired of paying for infinite wars and my country destabilizing areas and making unfair trade deals. If the US just fucked off most places would be better off just through sheer material circumstance.

Im also tired of Gusano Venezuelans making it Americans problems to feel bad for Venezuela. It shouldnt be our fucking problem in the first place. We are not the world police.

[–] Carl@hexbear.net 36 points 1 month ago (1 children)

...what? Is she saying that we have to be stupid to oppose the US violating the sovereignty of another country to murder hundreds of people (I'm including the boat murders in this) and kidnap its leader?

Does she even have a specific complaint? Is there a tweet before this one that explains it?
