The best protest is one that accomplishes nothing, inconveniences nobody, and is entirely self-contained.

my brain protesting against society by giving me depression for the last 15 years
People who believe in nothing, stand for nothing, and are indignant at nothing, promise to do nothing as the worst case scenario unfolds in front of them?
Mark Hamill not posting for 5 days is a boon to everyone, though.
most coherent liberal
Luke Skywalker should have defeated the empire by, like, idk, fucking around at the cantina while his family's corpses roasted in the desert sun, or something
That would imply Hamil has any stakes in the unfolding horror show. He doesn't, not beyond liberal aesthetics. Which is why he can take a self-care week and call it resistance. Useless fucking libs
I mean in old expanded universe in the 30 years after RotJ Luke saved trillions of people on various occasions and rarily had a moment of peace because he took being a jedi seriously. In the new canon he did nothing in that time.
They asked Hamil for input on how his character would fight against the rise of a new galaxy wide turbofascist regime and that was the most radical thing he could come up with. It all makes sense now.
Joker would have already constructed elaborate trap by kidnapping melania
Couldn't someone as wealthy as Hamill, y'know, spend the rest of his life actually joining real, physical protests?
Yes, but then your lib card gets revoked, because we all learned from Star Wars that the best way to protest an evil empire is to and do nothing else
Knowing Hamil he's probably protesting that Israel finally agreed to a ceasefire
Literally the same as nothing but go off king
Yeah, go offline king.
Can't even fly an X-Wing into the White House
In protest of drumpf I'm going to shut the fuck up for 5 days
That'll show them
remember when he praised bandera as a hero?
Seeing this reminds me of when I saw The Last Jedi and I realized Star Wars was no longer for me. The weird marvel humor, fast-paced fight scenes, and multiple plot threads going nowhere made me tap out. All the kids in the theater thought it was the coolest thing ever and I have to remember that despite the protests of fans, children have always been a large part of who the series panders to.
The weird marvel humor
Thank God I haven't seen these movies. The last Star Wars media I remember seeing, apart from The Force Awakens, was Tartakovsky's Clone Wars miniseries.
The animated TV shows are all pretty good, and Andor is the best thing Star Wars to ever exist. All the other live action shows are incredibly mid, and the sequel trilogy are flaming hot garbage
A lot of the good Star Wars stuff is intentionally made for kids - like the animated series and the new Skeleton Crew show.
Andor is probably the big exception. I'm setting my expectations for season 2 super low lol
thank god someone is brave enough to change America by [checks notes] not watching TV for less than a week
You laugh now but this is just like when John Lennon ended the Vietnam war by staying in luxury hotels for a couple weeks. Thank you for your service Mr. Hamill
"Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi! You're my only hope!"
"I've been sitting alone and completely uninvolved on a desert planet for 30 years! What more do you want from me?"
The #resistance is alive and well
Every morning of his BLACKOUT he sits in his Hashtag Resistance Breakfast Nook and he stoically contemplates The Resistance as he takes a drink from his coffee mug...
You laugh, but none of you have the self discipline of a Jedi
i have no idea who this man is but i feel like doing this could be amazing for one's mental health
He's the actor who plays Luke Skywalker in Star Wars. He's also known for being a turbolib.
oh lmao yeah i can never remember celebrity names...
He's da Joker
lol I forgot he literally voiced the Joker
he da joker baby???
He was in Star war
woah .
the star war
why can't we downvote
hope it works
Giving Trump a good grilling
In an act of solidarity against Markkk Hamill I will not log off for 5 days straight and make sure I touch zero grass.
