Wait wasn't sigma supposed to be the one that stands outside of the hierarchy? Are they just stuck in the spin cycle where they construct this hierarchy, then realize how stupid it is so they make a new one that's outside, but then they're too stupid to keep it together so they put the new one on top again?

trump-enlightened they will never escape Samsara

[–] WhatDoYouMeanPodcast@hexbear.net 32 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

I believe sigma was specifically when you could be an alpha but don't want to be a leader of men. Gamma was when you couldn't cut it at the top but don't want to pine for the hierarchy. So I can't imagine what a Zeta would do that wouldn't be covered by either of these options. In fact, The only niche I could imagine for it is "lay down and rot" rebranded - where you're obviously at the bottom of the pecking order and choose not to play.

Otherwise: scarymaxxing, moneymaxxing, geomaxxing, [sex worker]maxxing, and going off grid can all either be sigma or gamma.

"But doesn't that greatly narrow the scope of beta and omega males?" Yes, and it's a stupid system that deserves to return to the flawed void from wince is sprung.

This is astrology for men.

[–] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 27 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

[–] fox@hexbear.net 15 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

The new one is that five aspect thing

[–] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 24 points 2 weeks ago

second-plane a third astrology has hit the men

[–] Adkml@hexbear.net 14 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I'm so happy to finally see a very online acronym i dont recognize.

[–] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 15 points 2 weeks ago

idk how online-guy it is, they told us about this in highschool like it was useful.

The Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a self-report questionnaire that makes pseudoscientific claims[6] to categorize individuals into 16 distinct "psychological types" or "personality types".

you may have seen people call themselves INTJ or ENTB etc

Boutta take he/him off my pronouns

[–] keepcarrot@hexbear.net 15 points 2 weeks ago

I'm pretty sure sigma is just guys who are not and likely will never be close to alpha, but you still want to sell merch and ideology to.

[–] AssortedBiscuits@hexbear.net 36 points 2 weeks ago

People shit on astrology, but at least you can see the zodiac signs at night. This is just pure ideology lmao

Lifted from the Siksika Nation. i-made-this

The Blackfoot belief is not a triangle. It is a tipi where they believe tipis reach to the sky.

Do these wolfpack identities (based on dogshit science that the original scientist who first coined it since said was wrong) and their new invented labels even have a name?

Seems ripe for ironically coopting into furrydom if I'm totally honest, not sure if it would be beneficial or not though.

Ok so we could dismiss this as kink everywhere they try to make out like it's a serious thing. It might undermine it.

What they do is build a hierarchy of masculinity and then define the top of the hierarchy as the most toxic traits to try and have people aspirationally aim to become the most nihilistic fucking fascists they can create. So like, undermining it might undermine their ability to use it successfully for that. This would require mainstreaming the kink hard enough for it to become mentally associated so that people literally can't bring it up without the other being mentioned.

Once kink is the top response to the topic every single time they'll drop it because frankly they don't want to turn people into furries.

Tie it to gooner culture and it'll infiltrate every comment section even faster.

The famous omegaverse lawsuit that Lindsay Elis got involved with lead to her making a video about it thats sitting currently at 4 million views so this is more viable then you might think. Im honestly kind of surprised I never heard someone make a joke like this until now lol. Im certainly going to refer to this alpha beta stuff as "just an omegaverse thing" whenever I can get away with it.

It's a typo, they meant Zetan. The Zetan male busy flying their little UFO, stealing cows, because they're on such a high level their actions are incomprehensible to mere pyramid-males.

I have been so tempted to write one of those awful self-help books focused for this exact type of man. Call it something like "Alpha Growth" and fill it with nonsense like "strength in the hierarchy" and "the power of perception is the perception of power, so always loudly declare your social status, make it your main topic".

If I wouldn't end up having my own bullshit launched at me with all the satire taken out, it'd almost be worth it. Almost.

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 17 points 2 weeks ago

That's just Nietzsche.

[–] PaulSmackage@hexbear.net 18 points 2 weeks ago

ALAB taught me about the Omegaverse so i'm going to assume that's what's happening here.
