badposting is a comm where you post badly

This is not a !the_dunk_tank@hexbear.net alternative. This is not a !memes@hexbear.net alternative. This is a place for you to post your bad posts.

Ever had a really shitty bit idea? Joke you want to take way past the point of where it was funny? Want to feel like a stand-up comedy guy who's been bombing a set for the past 30 minutes straight and at this point is just saying shit to see if people react to it? Really bad pun? A homemade cringe concoction? A cognitohazard that you have birthed into this world and have an urge to spread like chain mail?

Rules:

  1. Do not post good posts.
    • Unauthorized goodposting is to be punished in the manner of commenting the phrase "GOOD post" followed by an emoji that has not yet been used in the thread
    • Use an emoticon/kaomoji/rule-three-abiding ASCII art if the rations run out
  2. This is not a comm where you direct people to other people's bad posts. This is a comm where you post badly.
  3. This rule intentionally left blank.
  4. If you're struck for rule 3, skill issue, not allowed to complain about it.

Code of Conduct applies just as much here as it does everywhere else. Technically, CoC violations are bad posts. On the other hand: L + ratio + get ~~better~~ worse material bozo

17 vs. 7, would you like to hit?

[–] 30_to_50_Feral_PAWGs@hexbear.net 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)
[–] EstraDoll@hexbear.net 5 points 2 days ago

That's a push. Could be worse 🤷‍♀️

I play Pot of Greed. It allows me to draw two more cards!

[–] EstraDoll@hexbear.net 7 points 2 days ago

You drew a 34. You bust

Take a nap, never let the enemy predict your next move

[–] Speaker@hexbear.net 2 points 1 day ago

When you are near, appear far. When you are eepy, draw eyes on your eyelids so no one can tell.

[–] EstraDoll@hexbear.net 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

buzzes into mic "Security, we got a guy napping on table 7, please escort him out"

[–] btbt@hexbear.net 8 points 2 days ago

I thought this was a free country please-save-me frothingfash

[–] CrawlMarks@hexbear.net 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The correct move was to hit yeah? Like, you could bust but the odds of you getting up into a range where you are more likely to win is higher than busting. Is my analysis close?

[–] GalaxyBrain@hexbear.net 3 points 2 days ago (2 children)

For a 13 vs 2 it's actually a bit controversial.

[–] Blakey@hexbear.net 2 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Huh. That sounded odd at first blush, but hitting on a 13 will bust on 9-10-J-Q-K, over a third of all cards, and while the hidden card could be an 8+ (nearly guaranteed to beat 13 with one additional card), it could also be another two and then the dealer's in a tough spot I guess.

Still feels counterintuitive to stand on 13 to me but I am very bad at games.

[–] CrawlMarks@hexbear.net 2 points 2 days ago (5 children)

Really? Cause there is so many diffrent ways the two could go or another calculation?

that's a soft 20. house wins. would you like to play another hand?

[–] segfault11@hexbear.net 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Soft 13 vs. dealer 7, would you like to hit? soft 13 seemed to run well for the dealer last hand

[–] Carl@hexbear.net 3 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

the dealer should not have hit that. Soft 17 may or may not be hit based on table rules, but if the dealer has soft 18 they will always stand (house wins either way just helping you out for your dealer test)

[–] Kefla@hexbear.net 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Security, we got a fucking nerd here telling our dealers how to play, kick his ass

[–] Carl@hexbear.net 5 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

shows badge I'm actually an inspector with the gaming commission, I'm shutting this operation down!

[–] EstraDoll@hexbear.net 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I put the cards down in the wrong order. It was a soft 13 when the dealer hit

Depends how many people are at the table and where I'm at in the turn order. Is this the start of the shoe or has it been running a while?

[–] EstraDoll@hexbear.net 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

buzzes into mic security, we got a guy card counting on seat 6

[–] Acute_Engles@hexbear.net 6 points 2 days ago

THERE'S LIKE 4 DECKS IN THE SHOE AND IT GETS REPLACED WELL BEFORE THE LAST QUARTER

LET ME FEEL LIKE I'M PLAYING A GAME IT'S BASICALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO BEAT THE ODDS ANYMORE

[–] segfault11@hexbear.net 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)
